John Miller’s concerns about partner Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck REVEALED – amid rumors of a ‘divide’ after Jennifer Lopez divorce
Jennifer Garner and her partner John Miller are working to get to “a better place” after the actress’s attempts to help ex-husband Ben Affleck and his split from Jennifer Lopez caused a “rift” in their own relationship, insiders claim.
In the months before Lopez, 55, officially filed for divorce from the 52-year-old Argo actor, Garner had taken on the role of “marriage counselor” for the struggling couple. Some friends feared she was being forced to “play mediator.”
The role also seems to irritate Miller, who understands that they have children but reportedly doesn’t like the idea of ββ”sharing” her.
βJohn doesn’t like sharing Jen and there’s a rift between her and Ben,β an insider exclusively told DailyMail.com.
The source added that the Cali Group CEO isn’t worried about the former couple getting romantically involved again, but she’s just having a hard time dealing with how much energy Garner is putting into her ex.

βHe wishes it wasn’t the case because he understands they’re a family, but it affected him just as much as it affected everyone else,β the insider continued.
“John isn’t afraid they’ll get back together, but it’s tough dealing with her support for Ben during his breakup with JLo.”
Miller is now looking forward to putting the recent saga behind him and instead focusing on the work that needs to be done on his own relationship.
“John is looking forward to Ben and JLo breaking up so he can focus on Jen,” the source said. “The bumpy roads of late seem to be smoothing out now.
“Jen and John are both hoping for that. It’s just going to take some time. They both want to be in a better place, but there’s still some work to be done.”
The insider stressed that the couple “are not broken up,” adding that “friends feel they’re going to be together for a long time. They’re very private.”
They also noted that Miller’s patience over the past few months has only strengthened Garner’s feelings about the relationship.
“Ben and Jen’s relationship is different, and while John doesn’t like that, Jen likes that it’s different because that’s what attracted her to John in the first place,” they said.
Lopez officially filed for divorce from the Gone Girl actor on Tuesday night, after months of speculation β and just hours before their second wedding anniversary.
Before the filing, Affleck had been photographed spending significant time with Garner, who was trying hard to ensure that the couple’s marital problems would not affect her ex-husband’s sobriety.
“John isn’t worried about them getting back together, but it’s been tough dealing with her support for Ben during his split from JLo,” a source said.

DailyMail.com previously reported that Garner felt like a “pawn” in the estranged couple’s battle.
“Jen feels like she was being used as a pawn in JLo’s attempt to fix her marriage,” the insider said. “She doesn’t believe it was intentional. But when Jen realized her ex-husband’s marriage was past the point of salvage, her only concern was for Ben’s well-being and sobriety.”
The source explained that the actress’ close friends were not at all impressed with the way Lopez sought support from Affleck’s ex-wife, despite how complicated things were for them as a threesome.
“She was put in the middle and her friends believe – no matter how you look at it – that a man’s ex-wife should never act as a mediator in a divorce from his new wife,” the insider said.
“Especially when that woman was a great love, the one Jen was compared to during their 13-year marriage. She’s glad Ben is happy now.”
Garner and Affleck split in 2018 after 13 years of marriage, but they have remained close and continue to raise their three children together in harmony (pictured in 2014).
The insider continued: ‘He understands they are a family, but it affects him just as much as it affects anyone else.’
Earlier this summer, DailyMail.com reported that Garner had made a conscious decision to step back from the “circus” surrounding Affleck and Lopez because the situation was beginning to bring up “painful” memories for her.
Now the star is focusing on co-parenting with Affleck, who has struggled with alcoholism and gambling addiction for decades, as he navigates life after his most recent marriage, but he will remain friends with Lopez.
The couple got engaged in late 2002, but broke up a year later. In 2004, the couple finally ended their relationship.
In the intervening years, J-Lo married and divorced Marc Anthony, with whom she had 16-year-old twins Max and Emme.
The couple, affectionately known as ‘Bennifer’, reunited in 2021 and married the following year in two wedding ceremonies.
Affleck later married Garner, with whom he shares Violet, 18, Finn, 15 (formerly known as Seraphina), and Samuel, 12. They divorced in 2018.
Affleck and Lopez first sparked rumors of divorce when they weren’t seen together for 47 days earlier this year.
Speculation of a split grew even more when they barely spent any time together over the summer.
Lopez and Affleck, 52, first got engaged in late 2002 but called it quits a year later before finally ending their relationship in 2004.

Lopez also walked the red carpet alone at the Met Gala in May, the day she canceled her world tour “to be with her family.”
Affleck has reportedly moved out of the $60 million home he shared with the On the Floor singer.
The actor later moved into a rental home in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, near Garner’s home.
Lopez was spotted without Affleck in May and again this month while house hunting in Beverly Hills.
Their divorce is Lopez’s fourth failed marriage and Affleck’s second.
