Shotgun Wedding follows Darcy (Lopez) and Tom (Duhamel), a couple who have gathered everyone they love for a dream destination wedding, but then start to get cold feet.
According to the film’s synopsis, a gang of pirates breaks into the ceremony and all the guests are taken hostage.
Then, while under pressure to decide whether or not to get married, the bride and groom must fight off the pirates and save the day.

She was also crowned Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie at the Emmy Awards in September.
