Jennifer Aniston cries, reaches out to her goddaughter Coco

Jennifer Aniston was playing the godmother on Monday afternoon.

The Murder Mystery actress, 54, was seen reaching out to her goddaughter Coco Arquette, 18.

The teen is the only child of Scream co-stars Courteney Cox and David Arquette, who married in 1999 and divorced in 2013.

Jennifer and Coco were sitting next to each other in the audience as mom Cox received a star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame while promoting his latest film, Scream VI, which opens on March 10.

At one point, Aniston appeared to break down in tears while listening to a speech and then clapped as Coco looked on.

Showbiz icon! Cox officially joined the greats with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday.

Cox, 58, was officially immortalized along the iconic boulevard with a newly minted star on Monday, making her the 2,750th person to receive the honor.

There was also Lisa Kudrow, 59, who brought together the three stars of Friends.

Courteney’s longtime friend Laura Dern, 56, was also on hand to give a speech, and her longtime partner Johnny McDaid, 46, and their daughter Coco Arquette, 18, were also in attendance.

Jennifer and Lisa had the crowd laughing as they paid tribute to their co-star from behind the podium.

“We are so honored to be here today to speak on her behalf as her co-workers, her friends and her family, her sisters,” Jennifer began, according to ET online. And that has happened since we have known you for a long time.

“It’s been like this since we met almost 30 years ago,” Lisa said before Jennifer chimed in with the joke: “No, not 30 years ago.” That’s a typo.

‘To be friends with Courteney is to be family with Courteney. She is responsible for all of this. From the very beginning, when we met her, she was immediately inclusive, warm, loving, interested in everything about you,” Jennifer continued.

The duo also reminisced about the first time they met Courteney and joked that she was the most famous of all their Friends co-stars.

They also recalled how much Courteney “hated” playing poker, a game the cast played with each other to bond.

I hated poker. Like, she hated him from the bottom of her heart. But she played us because she wanted to bond with us,” Jennifer said.

Kudrow shared how everyone learned about home investing from Courtney: “And I remember Courtney saying, ‘Y’all, look, I’ve made more money from houses than from acting.'”

The duo ended their speeches on a moving note: ‘Courteney, we just want to say that we are very, very proud to meet you. You are the definition of a truly beautiful, talented, and most importantly, truly good and decent human being… Thank you for enriching our lives personally,” Kudrow said.

‘You are one of the funniest human beings on planet Earth. Nothing makes me happier than a joke from Courteney and always making us smile. And thank you for enriching our lives with your work. We are so proud of you,” Aniston said.

In Courteney’s speech, she thanked her three “beautiful friends” for their comments. I can’t believe all my friends are here. It’s so nice ‘, she concluded her speech with her.

All three women were at Courteney’s side when her star was officially unveiled. Courteney beamed with delight as Laura marveled at the sight of the flaming star.

Later, Courteney posed for photos alongside her new star with her friends and family.

Daughter Coco hugged her mother fiercely and planted a kiss on her cheek as Johnny reached out to the actress during their moment together.

Courteney has acting credits dating back to the 1980s before landing a role on the iconic series Friends as the uptight Monica Geller.

From 1994 to 2004, he starred alongside Jennifer, Lisa, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer, playing a group of friends cruising through New York.

While on Friends, he was in the hit horror film Scream. She will return to her role as Gale Weathers for the sixth time in the upcoming sequel Scream 6.

For six years, he starred with Busy Philipps in the comedy series Cougar Town. She was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series-Musical or Comedy in 2009.

Outside of her prolific acting career, Courteney shares her daughter Coco with ex-husband David Arquette. She is now in a long-term relationship with Snow Patrol singer, Johnny McDaid.
