Jennifer Aniston, 55, is a party girl with a cocktail in hand as she says she misses her Friends days when she felt ‘isolated and protected’
Jennifer Aniston wore a little black dress and sipped a cocktail as she landed the cover Variety.
It was for the Actors On Actors issue when The Morning Show actress spoke with Quinta Brunson of Abbott Elementary fame and posed for photographer Mary Ellen Matthews.
Jennifer, 55, was addressing her iconic TV show Friends, which just celebrated turning 30 years old.
“It’s so weird to even think it’s 30 years old,” Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux’s ex began.
And the A-lister also said she misses that era because it was before social media. Aniston explained that she felt more “protected” when less was happening online.

Jennifer shared a story from the beginning of Friends.
“I remember the day it was supposed to premiere on television, on NBC: Matthew Perry and I were having lunch somewhere, and we knew Lisa was coloring her hair,” she said.
“So we ran into the hair salon, and I snuck over to her – she was in the sink – and I grabbed the nozzle from the guy who was supposed to do it and started washing her hair.
‘It definitely got out of hand, and that was a shame. But the excitement we had feels like yesterday.”
Aniston also said she was glad there was no social media while filming Friends.
“It was the ’90s and 2000s, and we had the luxury of not having social media or the internet, so we were so isolated and sheltered,” Aniston said.
“You weren’t confronted with people commenting and tearing you apart or whatever. It really was an innocent time, when we could wander around the world a lot more easily. But again, there were no telephones. It’s not like hundreds of screens tell you what it is.’

Now the icon stars alongside Reese Witherspoon on The Morning Show
Now Jennifer is in another hit series: The Morning Show with Reese Witherspoon.
She talked about her character’s transformation in season three. “Boy, there was a lot. Getting started with Jon [Hamm]because we’ve been friends for so many years,” she began.
‘It was exciting to discover that side of Alex in that more feminine, romantic world.
“Also, there was a sense of, f**k it… Since the end of season 2 (COVID), she had a near-death experience.
“And she came out of that world and said, ‘Ef, I’m going to live a little and not be so perfectly coiffed, Alex.’
Brunson also appeared in her show Abbott Elementary, in which she stars with Sheryl Lee Ralph and Lisa Ann Walter
“Sheryl Lee Ralph didn’t know she was funny, but she made me laugh, which was enough for me. She is so funny,” the star said
“And here she is, in love with this guy who comes into the company, and of course everyone’s like, ‘What is this guy about?’
“It brought up a lot of things for each character: What do they stand for morally? You’re a woman and you fall for this person, and then suddenly you think, “I’m a journalist and my journalistic integrity comes into play here.”

“And then Lisa Ann Walter, who you worked with on Bruce Almighty. By the way, that was my depression movie, when I was really depressed and I couldn’t change the channel because I was so depressed.
“I just had a DVD of Bruce Almighty that I watched on repeat while smoking from my bong.”
