Jennette McCurdy is continuing to open up about her mercurial relationship with her late mother Debbie.
The 30-year-old actress, who is promoting her memoir I’m Glad My Mom Died, appears on the upcoming edition of Red Table Talk to speak about the problematic family relationship, reading a letter her mother once wrote her.
In a sneak peek of the appearance, the iCarly personality is seen reading the toxic letter — which shocked the show’s hosts, Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith and Adrienne Banfield — that she received from her late mother, who died in 2013 following a battle with breast cancer.
The latest: Jennette McCurdy, 30, is opening up about her mercurial relationship with her late mother Debbie, as she appeared on the popular Facebook Watch show Red Table Talk
She said that her mother emailed her after seeing images of her and an ex-boyfriend online. The letter read: ‘I am so disappointed in you. You used to be my perfect little angel, but now you are nothing more than a little SL*T, A FLOOZY, ALL USED UP.
‘And to think you wasted it on that hideous ogre of a man. I saw the pictures on a website called TMZ. I saw you rubbing his disgusting hairy stomach … add that to a list of things you are: liar, conniving, evil.’
The letter continued: ‘Thinking of you with his ding-dong inside of you makes me sick. Sick! I raised you better than this.’
The communication also contained weight-shaming statements aimed at the actress from her mother, who wrote, ‘You look pudgier too. It’s clear you’re eating your guilt.’

The hosts of the Facebook series winced as McCurdy continued reading from the letter – which included a financial request on top of the insults.
It read: ‘What happened to my good little girl? Where did she go and who is this monster that has replaced her? You’re an ugly monster now. I told your brothers about you and they all said they disown you just like I do.
‘We want nothing to do with you. Love, Mom — or should I say Deb since I am no longer your mother? P.S. Send money for a new fridge; ours broke.’
McCurdy joked, ‘The P.S. gets me,’ to which Willow said, ‘Wow!’

From a mother: Jada had an empathetic expression as McCurdy spoke about her family problems
McCurdy last fall spoke with People about the dysfunctional family relationship, saying that her late mother obsessed on her appearance from a young age.
McCurdy said that the ongoing moves by her mother when she was a child — which included her whitening her teeth, bleaching her hair and making her diet — led her to have an eating disorder.
McCurdy said, ‘I know if my mom were alive, I’d still have an eating disorder. It was only distance from her that allowed me to get healthy,’ noting that she felt ‘so repressed and delayed developmentally’ from the way in which she was raised.
Red Table Talk airs Wednesdays on Facebook Watch at 9 a.m. PT/12 p.m. ET.
