Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy welcome their FIRST child together: ‘They were forever changed’

Jenna Johnson and her husband, Val Chmerkovskiy, officially welcomed their baby boy into the world, and the star announced the big news with an adorable Instagram post shared on Wednesday.

The 28-year-old Dancing With The Stars pro married the 36-year-old ballroom dancer in 2019, and the two lovebirds announced they were expecting their first child in early July last year.

The cute post showed a black and white snapshot of Jenna and Val’s hands cradling their baby boy. “Our world has been changed forever,” she poignantly wrote in the caption for her nearly one million followers.

The happy news comes just a month after Jenna mourned the tragic loss of her niece.

Although the candid post was uploaded on Wednesday, Jenna revealed that her son was born the day before Tuesday. The couple have not yet announced the official name they have chosen for their first child.

However, shortly after the two lovebirds announced the news that they were expecting, the beauty opened up to People about choosing a name.

“We’ve actually chosen a boy and a girl name for three years,” she admitted to the publication. “Val chose our son’s name, so we have it.”

The dancer, who was first recognized when she appeared on So You Think You Can Dance, stated that she was not completely set in stone with the name. “I’m a visual person for sure,” she explained.

‘I really want to see it first before I make that decision. So far we have one that I’m pretty set on, so who knows, it might change the day of.

The couple shared in July 2022 that they were expecting their first child on Instagram, with Jenna writing, “Our biggest dream come true so far.” Baby Chmerkovskiy is coming this January!

She emotionally added: ‘My heart has grown beyond comprehension as this little miracle grew inside of me. We can’t wait to meet our precious angel.

That same month, Jenna revealed the difficulties she faced getting pregnant, writing a lengthy caption for her fans. “We had actually stopped trying to conceive for about 6 months to give ourselves a mental/emotional break,” adding that upon finding out she had finally conceived, she was “shocked” and “disbelief.”

The talented dancer wrote that “our journey to get to this point was not an easy one”, adding that she experienced “two years of infertility and hundreds of negative tests after negative tests” and that it was “heartbreaking at times to stay optimistic…’

Johnson concluded positively: ‘It may not happen on your timeline and the journey can open your heart at times, but don’t give up on you and your precious baby! It will pass.’
