Jenna Jameson reveals she and wife Jessi Lawless are ‘trying to work through things’ two months after split – after explosive break-up saw star accused of ‘drinking again’

Jenna Jameson has revealed that she and her estranged wife Jessi Lawless are “trying to process things.”

The former adult film star, 50, spoke directly to fans in a video posted to her Instagram on Sunday – two months after Jessi, 41, filed for an annulment after less than a year of marriage.

“Jessi and I are trying to work through things and I wanted to be very clear about something. She was never abusive,” Jenna said.

‘She was not everything that is now portrayed. So we’re trying to work through things and I love her and I don’t want her to have to deal with any drama. She doesn’t deserve it. I love her.’

In the caption, Jameson tagged Jessi and wrote, “I love you.” The video was also shared by Jessi.

The former adult film star and Jessi tied the knot on May 23, 2023 after a whirlwind four-month romance, but Jessi revealed their romance was over in a TikTok video in April, with Jenna reportedly drinking again as the cause.

Shortly afterwards, however, Jessi deleted the video in which she announced that she would be filing for an annulment.

The former adult film star’s wife shared it TMZ she deleted the clip for the sake of her ex’s well-being after they had a “heart-to-heart phone call,” adding that there will always be “hope” for them as a couple.

‘I don’t want her mental health to be affected any more than it already is. I love her,” Jessi told the publication.

‘This is a very delicate time for us. We are both heartbroken and trying to find hope for the future,” said Jessi, who previously shared that the couple was done after 11 months of marriage.

“She told me she would never drink again, and I can tell right now that she is sober and plans to stay that way. I just wanted her to be safe and healthy.”

Although Jessi did not reveal whether she was considering withdrawing her annulment filing, she told the newspaper that because the couple “loves” each other there would always be hope for them and that she will see what the future holds.

She added that while she believes in forgiveness, it takes “time and responsibility.”

It comes after Jenna released a barbed statement after Jessi revealed their split.

In an apparent swipe at her ex, Jameson told DailyMail.com that she hopes “anyone struggling with addiction or trying to stay sober has access to an empathetic and loving support system.”

She said: ‘Research has shown that empathy and understanding are better responses to addiction than judgement, shaming and moralising.’ Jenna says.

She adds, “Expressing your unconditional love and support can be one of the kindest things you can do. Let them know that you are there for them: relapse or not, ten days sober or two hundred.

‘Unfortunately, tactics such as shaming, humiliating, shouting and ‘attack therapy’ were common in the past due to cultural beliefs around addiction.

‘Currently, rehabilitation centers recognize that this approach would be malpractice and would have no place in the delicate treatment process.

“It is much more likely that clients will experience greater success when empathy is central to the client care process.”

Jameson has previously spoken openly about her struggles with addiction, mental illness and weight loss.

Jessi said: ‘This is a very difficult video for me to make. But here goes: There are a lot of rumors going around that Jenna and I are getting divorced and I’m making this video to confirm that.

‘I told her early in our relationship that I was drawing a hard line and that drinking had caused so many problems in her life that I would not tolerate that under any circumstances.

“And this is the first time since we got married that she went to an event without me.

‘This is the first time she has been away from me. I kept her on the straight and narrow and she goes to Chicago and starts drinking.”

Jessi said she “confronted” Jenna about her drinking and claimed she “definitely tried to lie about it.”

Jessi then falsely told her wife that she had photos of her drinking champagne with Jameson and then ‘gave in with no remorse’ – Jessi claims.

Lawless also shared alleged texts from Jameson threatening her with legal action

Jessi said: “She told me straight out, ‘I’m not sorry. I’m not sorry.”

‘She just wanted to turn it around and blame me. I don’t know what it’s like, but maybe I shouldn’t have had such high expectations. But that’s it, I’ve filed for an annulment and it won’t take long for the filing to be finalized.

“I’m sure you’ll see this, Jenna. I love you with all my heart and I truly hope the best for you.”

Lawless also shared alleged texts from Jameson threatening her with legal action.

DailyMail.com has contacted Jameson’s representative for comment.

In 2012, Jenna was sentenced to three years’ probation after pleading guilty to a drunken driving charge. She quit drinking in 2015.

In 2019, she wrote in an Instagram post, “Sobriety has taught me a lot about myself, my coping mechanisms that I was ignoring quickly bubbled to the surface after I got sober.

‘That scared me. Everything I knew was wrong. Everything I believed in hurt me and didn’t help me. Meetings and leaning on my sober friends… made things bearable the first year. I was surviving. Sober. It was shocking at first, but now it’s my new normal.”

“I think back to the way I used to run… run as far and as fast as I could, and I pray to God that I never feel that emptiness again.”
