Jenna Dewan’s reveals daughter Everly ‘was completely uninterested’ in her parent’s film Step Up
From the mouths of babes! Jenna Dewan hilariously told the story of the first time her daughter, Everly, 10, watched her hit movie Step Up.
The World of Dance alum, 42, starred in the 2006 film starring Everly’s father, Channing Tatum, 43.
In fact, the film’s set is where the former couple’s romance first got underway.
Despite her parents finding love through the franchise, the former couple’s child was “completely uninterested” in the drama.
After seeing the film, the Berlin I Love You actress told Us weekly that Everly asked, “Can we watch something good?”
The Rookie alum – who has finally secured a venue for her upcoming nuptials – showed her daughter the film when she was very young and revealed, “She likes to say, ‘OK, yes.’ It’s not cool for her yet. Maybe one day.’

“We all love her so much and she’s so passionate about it and she works really hard,” Dewan said. “She always says, ‘Mom, I want more dance lessons, I want to go again.’ She’s just really into it. It’s bustling.’
Everly took first place in a dance competition last month, which left the East End alum Witches “screaming her head off like a full dance mom.”
But Everly goes her own way and doesn’t ask her mom for advice when it comes to dancing.
“She just wants me to be a mother. supportive mother. Want me in,” she told the outlet. “She likes it when I tell her what I thought, and I’ll be honest with her.”
“She’ll say, ‘Did you see that part I messed up?’ And I say, “I’ve seen it, but it doesn’t matter. We’re here. This is a journey. We’re learning, don’t worry.” She likes that.’
Dewan and Tatum met while filming the dance movie where they played love interests Nora Clark and Tyler Gage.
They married in 2009 and welcomed their daughter in May 2013. They separated in April 2018 and divorced the following year.

Jenna started dating Steve Kazee in 2018 and the couple got engaged in February 2020. They welcomed their son Callum, three, in March 2020.
Dewan and Kazee have been engaged for three years and the actress recently revealed that she had finally found a venue for their wedding.
Their upcoming wedding will also be a family affair.
‘As long as Evy is the flower girl, we’re good. That’s her only request. And a ring bearer, Callum,” she said E! News.
