Jenna Dewan celebrates her daughter Everly’s 11th birthday in sweet tribute post: ‘Thank you for making me a mother’

Jenna Dewan took over Instagram to celebrate her daughter Everly’s eleventh birthday on Saturday with a sweet message and a carousel of throwback snaps.

The 43-year-old actress – who was recently spotted flaunting her baby bump in a figure-hugging gray maxi dress – penned a heartwarming message for her firstborn, thanking the youngster for making her a mother.

“My first baby is 11,” she began, “I’m honestly so emotional today. It will be a small miracle if I can get through this day without babbling and crying, how proud I am of you and how much I love you every second of the day…!’

‘We share a brain – perhaps too much – and we share a heart. But you are completely you and the world is a much more sparkling and magnificent place because you are here,” she continued.

“Thank you for making me a mother, for teaching me so much about life and it’s an honor to be by your side forever and ever. Happy Birthday, Everly!!!!” she finished.

The actress included several photos of her firstborn’s most cherished moments and even some candid snaps together.

In one glance, we see the birthday girl doing her math homework while enjoying an ice cream in a desert shop.

We also see her posing behind the American flag as the president, wearing a blazer and a floral top with ruffles.

Dewan added a heartwarming photo of little Everly hugging her baby bump just days away from her due date.

The tribute she shared with her 9.5 million followers was a hit, with more than 73.5 thousand likes and 536 comments.

Fans flooded the comments with birthday wishes and support for Everly with one text: “Happy Birthday.” Such a beautiful girl with a beautiful soul. So mature.’

Another fan wrote well wishes and pointed out the similarities between the youngster and her famous father, Channing Tatum. “Happy birthday, beautiful, you are your father’s twin brother,” the band wrote.

The Setup actress welcomed her daughter Everly with the Magic Mike star during their wedding from July 2009 to November 2019.

The ex-couple have both since moved on, as Dewan is expecting her second baby with fiancé Steve Kazee and Tatum is engaged to actress Zoë Kravitz.

Jenna and Steve welcomed their first child together: son Callum, four, born on March 6, 2020.

Despite splitting over five years ago, the co-parents are embroiled in a legal battle in which Dewan claims that both she and the actor jointly acquired Magic Mike’s intellectual property as they were still married at the time that the film was being developed.

Tatum, who was then an emerging leading man, starred in the first Magic Mike film in 2012, directed by Steven Soderbergh.

Just weeks ago, Tatum’s lawyers denied his ex’s claims that he had hidden the proceeds in an irrevocable trust.

They also claimed that the Magic Mike actor “never denied” Dewan’s share of the community’s assets or income.

His attorney, Jacqueline Combs, also said the Magic Mike franchise made most of its money after the couple had already broken up, according to court documents obtained by DailyMail.com.

During a hearing in April, Combs said Tatum tried several times to resolve the matter with his ex without having to go through a separate process, but instead had to deal with Dewan’s “unnecessarily litigious behavior and delaying tactics.”

“This has been going on for six years and it is very important to get the case to trial,” a frustrated Combs told the judge.

Dewan’s lawyers said they were also prepared to appear in court, but warned the judge that the actress will give birth in mid-June.

The judge said he was “very aware” of her due date and ordered the actress to testify before she had her child. He added that both Dewan and Tatum must be ousted by July 26.

The parties recently returned to court on May 15 to determine whether the issue of Magic Mike’s intellectual property will require a separate summary trial.

A trial date has been provisionally set for December. Dewan and Tatum have indicated they plan to call the other to the witness stand.

“This is your last chance,” Judge Wasserman told both sides. ‘This is it.’
