Jenna Bush Hager awkwardly struggled to navigate her cell phone live on the Today show Tuesday, while her co-star Hoda Kotb covered her eyes in annoyance.
The hosts discussed how Saltburn star Barry Keoghan manifested his GQ cover when Kotb, 59, asked Bush Hager, 42, if she and her family wrote down goals at the start of the new year.
‘We shockingly did it on the taxi ride home from the airport. We went around and everyone said something,” the mother recalled. “For our family, that kind of forced fun or forced manifestation, our kids say, ‘Mom, stop! No!’ But here it worked.
Bush Hager has three children – Mila, ten, Poppy, eight, and Hal, four – with her husband, Henry Hager.

The Today star and her co-host Hoda Kotb, 59, discussed how Saltburn star Barry Keoghan manifested his GQ cover when she pulled out her phone
‘I write, as it were, a visualization of what I want more of. “I wrote down in my Notes (app) exactly the things I wanted to do more,” she added.
‘As?’ Kotb asked.
Bush Hager pulled out her cell phone to read her list, but the segment was paused as she searched through her apps to find it.
“How do you like your notes?” she asked Kotb, who told her to go to the Notes app.
“Um, okay. Let’s see. Oh, you know what, I think I did it: I look like my mother,” she joked about former First Lady Laura Bush.
Kotb began to lose her patience with Bush Hager as she continued to scroll through her phone looking for the list.
“Oh my gosh,” she said, covering her eyes with her hand as the audience laughed.
‘No, it’s fine! I did it in drafts,” Bush Hager explained.

I look like my mother,” Bush Hager joked, saying the list was still in her draft. “Oh dear,” Kotb said, putting her hand on her head in annoyance
Bush Hager finally found what she was looking for and started rattling off her 2024 goals, including saying she wants more joy, daily adventures, and nature walks
“Like email drafts?” Kotb asked confused.
Bush Hager finally found the list and started listing her goals for 2024, saying she wants “a home full of joy, laughter, friendly voices, and (and) music.”
‘This is a bit strange, but it’s like water: softer, softer, more flexible. Less screen, more creation. Daily adventures. Find beauty in the everyday,” she continued.
The mother of three said she also wanted to take nature walks, hike, travel and dance every day.
“This feels like I’m reading someone’s self-help book,” she admitted.
But Kotb thought her intentions were “beautiful” and was happy to have found them, even if it took longer than expected.
Bush Hager’s list inspired her to share a “really good exercise” for discovering what else you want in your life.
Kotb explained that you need to create three columns and divide them into things you have, things you want more or less of, and things that make you happy.
“Somewhere in the amalgamation of that you’ll find the thing,” she said. “You think these are the three things that make me happy. Is this present here? Am I losing (it in this)? And I think there is a way to put the puzzle together.”
