Jenna Bush Hager revealed that she has been a bridesmaid 14 times over the years.
The Today star, 41, made the confession on Monday’s show after she and her co-host Hoda Kotb saw a clip of Quinta Brunson’s hilarious Saturday Night Live sketch of a spoof documentary about joining a bridesmaid cult.
The spoof Netflix trailer highlights the horrors a group of women had to go through after agreeing to be at their friends’ bridal shower, from the never-ending group texts to the cost of the bachelorette party.
“I think you’re someone who will totally relate to this,” Kotb, 58, told Bush Hager, pointing out that most women have only been a bridesmaid a few times, including herself.
“In your young life, Mrs. Jenna Bush Hager, how many times have you been a bridesmaid?” she asked.

Bush Hager’s co-star Hoda Kotb, 58, pointed out that 14 people consider her one of their best friends. “Some probably don’t,” she replied
In 2018, Bush Hager was the matron of honor to her twin sister Barbara Bush when she married her husband, Craig Coyne, at their family’s estate in Kennebunkport, Maine.
‘Fourteen. Fourteen times,” Bush Hager replied.
She was about to add that she hadn’t been a bridesmaid in years, but Kotb interrupted, pointing out that 14 people consider her one of their best friends.
“Some probably don’t anymore,” Bush Hager asserted.
‘[It’s] because I’m from Texas, where people got married early, and then you sort of [drift apart]. That is what [the sketch] is talking about. Preying on college roommates,” the University of Texas graduate joked.
“I loved everyone I was with at the wedding. I don’t know if I can name them all that are here, but that’s why,” she explained. ‘I don’t mean that in a mean way. I just mean that in a way. I just mean that in truth.
“But I loved doing it — and besides, bachelorette parties are so much fun. The problem is that you grow out of it.’
Kotb was curious about what she did with all her old bridesmaid dresses, but she admitted she didn’t know.
Bush Hager insisted she was at so many weddings just because she grew up and went to college in Texas, “where people got married early”
Bush Hager admitted that she’s not sure she can name every wedding she’s been to. She also added that there were no bridesmaid dresses she liked.
Following her bridesmaid confession, Bush Hager took to Instagram on Tuesday to post a slideshow of photos from the past month, including her family’s spring break

“Are there things you liked?” asked her co-star.
‘No! Everyone says you will wear it again. You’re going to shorten it. You will wear it again. You’re never going to wear it again!’ insisted the former first daughter.
It’s unclear when Bush Hager was last a bridesmaid, but she made it seem like she hadn’t been to a wedding in years.
