Jenna Bush Hager has confirmed that she went overboard during her recent dinner with King Charles after revealing that she never wears underwear.

The 41-year-old Today presenter shared a meal with then-Prince Charles in Scotland the night before his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, died on September 8. He spoke about the meeting during his appearance on See what happens live on Tuesday.

Bush Hager recalled how they were served “Scottish food” at the black-tie dinner, where most of the men, other than her husband, Henry Hager, wore kilts.

‘Did you wear underwear that night?’ Andy Cohen cheekily asked her guest, who threw her head back and laughed before sheepishly shaking her head to say no.

Bush Hager simply shrugged when the host expressed surprise, but she explained that she didn’t want to have underwear lines.

It was a beautiful fitted dress. She would have been noticed,” she insisted.

Earlier on the show, Bush Hager was asked by a viewer how her parents, former President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush, reacted when she revealed on the Today show that she doesn’t wear underwear.

“People think I shared that with the world,” he said after pointing out that his co-host, Hoda Kotb, was actually the one who spilled the beans.

‘I am a lady. I would not have shared that information. I’m sure my parents weren’t thrilled,” she said with a laugh.

Bush Hager seemed a little embarrassed that her anti-underwear stance was going public, but she stood by her choice.

‘I think it makes a nicer silhouette. I also think you don’t have to pack as much. It has many advantages. I’m sure my mom has never been more proud,” she joked.

Kotb noted that the show’s wardrobe supervisor said not having to worry about underwear makes “life so much easier.”

“Yes, you can, at any time,” Kotb replied.

“I’ll wear underwear,” Bush Hager quipped.
