Jemma Lucy begs Celebs Go Dating to help with her ‘horrendous’ taste in men… after dates with Love Island’s Mitch Taylor
Jemma Lucy has begged Celebs Go Dating bosses to sign her up for the show, despite being spotted on a series of dates with Love Island’s Mitchel Taylor.
The 35-year-old Ex On The Beach star has a self-confessed horrible dating history and admitted in an exclusive chat with MailOnline that she wants show experts Paul Carrick Brunson, Anna Williamson and Dr. Tara Suwinyattichaiporn taking charge for her.
She mused: “A lot of people go on that show and they’re either not really interested, or they’re not really single, they’re just there for money or airtime – but me, Really from the bottom of my heart, I need help!
‘I have the worst type of men in the world and I would rather have no man than my type because they’re just awful!’
Jemma reasoned, “I want to find my forever person and I won’t find that with my type. So I would love to go to the show because they help you think outside the box.’

Jemma continued: “They force you to sit there with someone who isn’t necessarily your type on paper or physically.
‘I would never be in that situation unless someone put me in it, because I’m just not brave enough. So I think I would really benefit from the show.”
The mother-of-one further confirmed she had gone on a few dates with ‘Messy’ Mitch, 27, but insisted they were ‘very, very early days’, musing ‘we just do what we do. .’
Jemma, who is bisexual, previously dated the likes of convicted sex offender Stephen Bear and convicted drug dealer Nicholas Sinclair.
Alongside Celebs Go Dating, Jemma revealed she would be open to returning to Ex On The Beach in her quest to find love.
She explained, “The only thing I would struggle with is being away from my daughter for so long, but as long as I made sure she was safe and on certain shows you can still interact with your kids off camera…
‘I would love to go to the show again. I have said things about how I felt at the time, but I do take some responsibility for my behavior.
“Times have changed and it just seems like a much better show right now. I’m here because of that show.
‘I don’t like it when people say, ‘Oh, I hate that show so much,’ like Megan McKenna, for example. She says, “Oh, I forgot I was ever on that show?”
“That’s where you came from, where you are now. You can’t forget that.’
Reflecting on how the production has changed since she first appeared on the show in 2015, she mused: “You were allowed to have physical fights and have sex with everyone and just be completely erratic.
‘TV is a little different now. IIt’s definitely less messy, it’s more about love and sorting things out with your ex, rather than fighting it!’

Elsewhere in the chat, Jemma admitted she is having sleepless nights and feeling ‘unsafe’ in her new home after thieves targeted her £170,000 Land Rover Defender V8.
In December, Jemma was left devastated when her car was stolen from outside her home just before she was due to move across London, but thanks to the tracker she had connected, police were able to quickly recover the vehicle.
After pushing ahead with her moving plans, the mother-of-one tried to put the theft out of her mind but admitted she couldn’t shake the feeling she was being followed.
Last month, while sleeping in her house, she was awakened at 8:30 am by the sound of the engine starting and after running to her window, she could do nothing but watch in horror as the thieves made off with her car .
Adding to Jemma’s grief, around the time her car was first stolen, she suffered a devastating ectopic pregnancy.
In December, she revealed she had been hospitalized with mysterious pains later revealed that she had been hospitalized due to an ectopic pregnancy, which occurs when a fertilized egg implants itself outside the uterus, usually in the fallopian tube, meaning a baby cannot develop and endangering the mother’s health.
Shortly after her devastating ordeal, Jemma was dealt another blow when her relationship with convicted drug dealer Nicholas Sinclair ended on Christmas Day.
Looking back on the past few months, Jemma admitted: ‘It’s been really difficult actually.
‘My car was stolen, then my pregnancy I moved and my car got stolen again and all that also happened in my personal life and it was just a very difficult time.
“I think the way to stay positive is to just… me block a lot of things if I’m honest.
“But I just look at things and I think these are the cards I’ve been dealt. This is what I’m dealing with now. What can I do about it?
“You just have to be strong and tell yourself that you can do this and things will get better.
‘As long as my daughter is happy, not stressed and safe, tThat’s all I care about. As long as that’s good, I can realistically handle anything else.”
Jemma – who has not revealed her daughter’s name or the identity of the father – welcomed her first child in 2019.

Despite the mental and physical toll her recent ectopic pregnancy took on her, Jemma revealed she hasn’t ruled out having another child in the future.
She explained, “The love I have for my daughter and how beautiful it is to have a child overcomes my fear of another ectopic pregnancy.
‘But yes, I’m really afraid of it happening again, because the chance is greater if you’ve had one before.
‘When I meet my forever man and we are happily married then I would definitely try it again, but not until I’m married, for God’s sake!
‘I just believe that every child should at least have the chance to have a family life where you have the parents together and a family home. I couldn’t give that to my daughter and I feel a little guilty about that. ‘
