The report goes on to reveal that Stelling was not consulted as part of the proposed reorganization at Sky.
Sky have now launched a consultation process which could lead to 13 football reporters including Shreeves needing to reapply for their jobs as some are expected to lose their roles.
Stelling walked away from Sky when he announced his retirement from football media before reversing this decision in March last year.
Shreeves came to Sky at the start of the Premier League and became a household name to football fans for his pitchside reporting and post-match interviews.

However, with the uncertainty surrounding Sky, Shreeves could see his future in doubt, but the restructuring is not believed to affect his colleague Stelling, although many of those who work at Soccer Saturday are at risk.
Sources previously told Sportsmail that the reporters had been asked to reapply for their jobs.
However, this has been refuted by Sky, who affirms that the operation is a restructuring in search of evolution and diversity.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Shreeves and Co, but Stelling’s admission will no doubt add pressure to the situation.
