Jeff Stelling replaces Laura Woods as the new host of talkSPORT’s Breakfast Show – but will ONLY work two days a week – following his departure from Sky’s Soccer Saturday
- Stelling, 68, presents on Mondays and Tuesdays alongside Ally McCoist
- It comes after he quit Sky’s popular Soccer Saturday show
- Laura Woods has moved on to TNT Sport’s Champions League coverage
Jeff Stelling hosts talkSPORT’s Breakfast Show every Monday and Tuesday after departure from Sky’s Soccer Saturday.
Mail Sport revealed last month that Stelling, 68, was the frontrunner to replace Laura Woods on the morning radio show.
TalkSPORT has now confirmed that the beloved broadcaster will present twice a week from December alongside popular pundit Ally McCoist.
Alan Brazil will host the show for the rest of the week, along with McCoist on Wednesday, Gabby Agbonlahor on Thursday and Ray Parlor on Friday.
Hartlepool United superfan Stelling stepped down as host of Soccer Saturday after 25 years at the end of last season and took over from Simon Thomas.

Woods joined TNT Sports, rebranded BT Sport, last month as their main Champions League and boxing presenter, while also leading ITV’s Women’s World Cup coverage.
Stelling gained a cult following for his encyclopaedic knowledge of the English and Scottish leagues while presenting Sky’s Soccer Saturday results show.
Stelling said, “I am so happy to be part of the talkSPORT team. As a longtime listener of the show, it’s a dream of mine to sit in the legendary chair and wake people up every Monday and Tuesday.
“I may not be looking forward to the 4:30 alarm clock, but I’m looking forward to chatting and having fun with the legendary Ally McCoist along with great guests.”
Until Stelling hits the air in December, the Breakfast Show will be hosted by Natalie Sawyer and Andy Townsend alongside Scotland and Rangers legend McCoist.
Thomas beat competition from fellow Sky presenters Caroline Barker and Jules Warren to secure the Soccer Saturday role, starting last weekend as the EFL season kicked off.
