Jeff Stelling appeared shocked after Brendan Rodgers’ controversial post-match interview with a female BBC reporter on Sunday.
Celtic boss Rodgers has been criticized by women’s groups after calling veteran broadcaster Jane Lewis a ‘good girl’ before ending the interview.
Campaigners from the organization For Women Scotland have accused Rodgers of ‘casual sexism’, while another group described him as a ‘dinosaur’.
Rodgers has been urged to apologize for the brief altercation, which took place on the Sportsound program after Celtic beat Motherwell 3-1 at Fir Park.
Stelling was stunned when the interview aired on his talkSPORT breakfast show.

BBC Sport Scotland’s Jane Lewis interviewed Rodgers after Celtic’s 3-1 win over Motherwell
Jeff Stelling was stunned to hear Rodgers call the veteran announcer a “good girl.”
“Good girl, good girl?” he said. “Thank God, Brendan. What does he mean?’
Lewis, 53, had asked Rodgers to elaborate on a point after she was told “the story is already written about this group” in the context of the league’s title race.
When asked to explain, the 51-year-old Rodgers seemed dissatisfied with the journalist’s questioning and said, “No, no. You know exactly what I mean.’
Lewis again pressed Rodgers for a follow-up, but he appeared to end the interview. He was then heard to say, “Done, good girl, well done.”
Lewis, a broadcaster with decades of experience, is believed to be unfazed. She has not yet commented on the matter or posted a response on her X account.
However, the Scottish Feminist Network has attacked Rodgers.
“Jane Lewis was just doing her job and trying to give Brendan Rodgers an explanation for his cryptic comment,” the group said.
‘The fact that the attitude was condescending is very enlightening, but in 2024 it is really very depressing. We thought the dinosaurs were extinct.”

Campaigners from For Women Scotland say Rodgers should apologise.
A spokeswoman said: ‘It is depressing that casual sexism is still embedded in the sport. Women’s achievements are underestimated and dismissed, and their professional status is undermined. Rodgers owes the reporter an apology.”
Celtic declined to comment when contacted Mailsport on Sunday.
