After going 3-0 against the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday night, several members of the Denver Nuggets reiterated the sentiments of staying focused against one of the game’s greatest ever players.

No team has ever swept LeBron James for the NBA Finals and Denver not only has a chance to finally reach that milestone, but it would also be a chance for them to record the first-ever series sweep in franchise history .

“I mean, damn that’s LeBron man,” Nuggets veteran forward Jeff Green Sunday after the Nuggets watched the movie at their team hotel.

“He’s done great things in the last 20 years. For me, we need to end it.

“It’s like you can’t keep giving him life. The more life you give him, the more confidence he gets and the more confidence he gives his teammates. So for me it has to stop [Monday].’

Green wasn’t the only veteran member of the team to express a desire to keep the Lakers under pressure.

“We don’t want to give them hope,” said shooting ranger Bruce Brown. ‘No self-confidence.’

“I’m not going to say I’m scared,” said MVP candidate and superstar center Nikola Jokic.

“But I’m worried because they’ve got LeBron on the other side and he’s capable of anything.”

Immediately after the game, star point guard Jamal Murray also said during his post-game interview, “Five more to go,” referring to taking the final win against LA before turning the team’s attention to securing four wins in the NBA final.

The Lakers also don’t seem to hide from the possibility of going out without a series win.

“It’s very real,” Lakers coach Darvin Ham said of the Lakers being fueled to avoid a 4-0 end to their season.

“It’s a proud group, again, very competitive that cares and also wants to put on a good show for our fans.”

Everyone will find out if LA can avoid being sent home 4-0 in Game 4 on Monday night.

“We’re dealing with a great baseball club, a talented group that is very well coached,” Ham said.

“But we also have things we can do. All we have to do is concentrate on one match. We don’t need to be overwhelmed by the outside noise or the overall series. We only have to worry about one game, what exactly lies ahead of us.’
