Jeff Garlin landed his first job since leaving The Goldbergs amid allegations of on-set misconduct.

The actor, 60, will join the cast of Mindy Kaling’s Never Have I Ever on Netflix for its fourth and final season.

He has been cast as a sandwich maker named Len, whom Nirmala falls in love with. Ranjita Chakravarty, 62, plays the widowed grandmother of Maitreyi Ramakrishnan’s Devi in ​​the People’s Choice award-winning show.

Jeff’s character Murray was killed off at the start of The Goldbergs season 10, with Sean Giambrone’s character Adam explaining in the opening narration “just a few months ago, out of the blue, we lost my dad.”

In a December 2021 interview with vanity fairthe comedian admitted that Sony Human Resources, the studio that produces The Goldbergs, had approached him for three years in a row regarding reports of verbal and physical behavior, including hugging, on set that made others uncomfortable.

A source alleged that the star would react to any rejection by saying “he was a big teddy bear, saying things like, ‘Oh, you know me, just a big bowl of mush, I’m a hugger. I just love you.'”

Jeff chalked up the concerns as a reaction to setting up for his scene, saying, “I have my process on how I’m funny, in terms of the scene and what I have to do.” They feel that it becomes an “unsafe” workspace.

“Now look at me,” he continued, “my nonsense in creating an unsafe workspace, I don’t understand how that is.”

The Studio 666 actor said he didn’t feel the perceptions were in line with the person he is.
