The 74-year-old actor – who recently opened up about his battle with cancer – opted for a tuxedo and wore a slim bow tie contrasted with dressy black loafers.

He swept his hair back and as he posed, he created a storm with his wife as he kept his arm around her.

Geston, 71, supported her husband in a plunging navy blue maxi dress which she wore with a matching jacket that flowed over her ensemble as she carried an orange clutch.

Her blonde locks were parted to the side as she opted for full glam make-up which made her red lips pop as she smiled for the cameras.

Last year the Chaplin Award was presented to Viola Davis, and honorable winners include Martin Scorsese, Cate Blanchett, Spike Lee, Helen Mirren, Robert De Niro, Tom Hanks and Alfred Hitchcock.

Susan and Jeff were first linked in 1975, when he was filming Rancho Deluxe, and said “I do” just two years later.

Throughout 45 years of marriage, the lovebirds show no signs of slowing down. They are parents to their daughters Isabelle, Jessica and Hayley.

“They love each other, but they love each other, they spend time together. They make an effort to ask each other questions about what the other is interested in,” said their eldest, Isabelle.

Staying by each other’s side through thick and thin is proving to be an extra step for the couple as they still seem to be in the honeymoon phase.
