Jeff Brazier shares gushing tribute to son Freddy, 20, as he struts his stuff on the dance floor alongside Strictly star brother Bobby, 21, during family’s lavish New Years getaway to Mauritius

Proud dad Jeff Brazier shared a rousing tribute to his sons on Thursday as they hit the dance floor during the family’s lavish New Year’s getaway to Mauritius.

The 45-year-old broadcaster said it made his “heart sing” seeing Freddie, 20, express himself so easily alongside 21-year-old Bobby, who appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2023.

On Instagram, Jeff shared sweet images of the boys, whose mother was the late Jade Goody, dancing together in their hotel before Freddie hung out with stepmother Kate Dwyer.

The brothers seemed to be having a great time as they threw their arms in the air and playfully shook their hips to the wild music.

Jeff captioned the clip, “I know full well that one of my boys loves to dance, but seeing Fred really express himself over the holidays made my heart sing. I could look at this all day.”

“When I see kids behaving freely it just makes me happy, it just means someone somewhere along the line is doing something right.”

‘The boys have always been close, even though they are so different, but it was really beautiful to see them sharing the dance floor! ‘.

He continued: ‘I was such a shy kid growing up, I didn’t start dancing until I was 17 when I found 5th Ave in Ilford, closely followed by Epping Country Club & Time & Envy in Romford!’

‘Great times! I hope I can experience a million more moments like this in our lifetimes. Thank you for making the end of our 2024 so perfect.”

Last month Jeff posted a sweet throwback photo of his sons as young children, in the black and white photo EastEnders star Bobby put his arm around his little brother Freddy.

Jeff said he would give anything “to spend another day with them at this age” because he said they “grow up too fast.”

He wrote: ‘I’m going through the memory boxes this morning. I want to show the boys so much.

“This was always my favorite photo ever of the boys. What I would give to spend another day with them at this age. They grow too fast’.

It comes after Jeff received messages of support from Loose Men fans after making a heartbreaking confession about his late partner Jade.

Jeff appeared on the panel last month alongside Jordan Banjo, Brian Conley and Craig Doyle for a special spin-off of the show.

To mark this year’s International Men’s Day, the panel discussed issues affecting them and others today as they continue to tackle the taboos surrounding men’s mental health and physical wellbeing.

On whether men grieve differently than women, Craig Doyle told Jeff, “I’ll start with you, because a lot of your life has seen the happy times but also the sad times, so you know what you’re talking about. ‘

Jeff, who has openly discussed the loss of his sons’ mother, Jade Goody, over the years, said: “Yes absolutely, when the boys lost their mother, I think while they were still boys, not yet men, oh actually they just become men, I just realized they’re 21 so it went by so quickly,’

“I think when I first saw them, six or seven months after losing their mother, they weren’t really exhibiting the kind of behavior I expected.”

‘Then suddenly their world turned upside down and it was chaos, absolute chaos.’

“And we all have a coping strategy that I think is probably more heritable in men than in women.”

‘Because women just seem to be really good at being human and natural and just saying, “Something really bad just happened, I need to talk about it.”‘

He continued, “While boys, boys, fathers, we’ll try to brush it (sadness) under, we’ll try to avoid it for as long as we can and hope we can get away with it and we’ll just get over it or we’ll leave it behind.

“And the truth is, even I didn’t think it was worth mourning for Jade, because at that point I hadn’t been with her in about two years,”

“I was avoiding what I was probably going to experience, which was a very challenging time, especially (for) someone who was under 30 years old and all that responsibility that lay ahead of you.”

“But I made it all about the kids and I think that’s probably a typical reaction for any parent. Of course we would put them first…’

He added: ‘But the truth is it will always catch up with you, you will always have to pay that debt to yourself and those feelings don’t go away the way you hope.

“They build and build and build until one day there will be something completely random that confuses you and then you realize that you have an absolute pile-up of unresolved feelings and trauma that you haven’t dealt with. to talk about.’
