Jeff Bezos buys home in Florida’s ‘Billionaire Bunker’ after paying $68 million to live in Miami’s Ivanka Trump and Tom Brady neighborhood

Jeff Bezos has become the newest resident of South Florida’s “Billionaire Bunker” – after paying $68 million for a home near Ivanka Trump and Tom Brady.

The third richest man in the world, 59, bought a waterfront mansion in Indian Creek Village in Miami’s Biscayne Bay in June, keeping his identity a secret at the time.

The three bedroom man-made barrier island property sits on 6 acres and was built in 1965.

It was previously owned by a company with ties to Panama called MTM Star International, which acquired it in 1982 for $1.4 million.

The Amazon founder, who has been living a good life with fiancé Lauren Sanchez since his retirement from Amazon, is looking for other properties in the area, an anonymous source told me. Bloomberg.

Bezos, worth $195 billion, has a growing real estate profile worth nearly $600 million, including a $165 million Beverly Hills mansion, a $78 million Hawaii mansion, and a trio of Manhattan apartments totaling of $30 million.

The billionaire also owns one of the world’s most expensive superyachts, the Koru, where he and Sanchez spent the summer on the Mediterranean.

The Miami neighborhood is known as a hot spot for the wealthiest people in the country, with an average home price of $29.5 million and only about 40 residents.

Indian Creek Island has been called “the world’s most exclusive community,” with only 34 properties available spread across 300 acres.

It’s also become a hotbed for celebrities, with the likes of Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen building an “eco-mansion” there before splitting up last year.

The house, which Brady will reportedly keep, is just a few doors down from Ivanka and Jared Kushner, who bought a $30 million lot on the island from musician Julio Iglesias in late 2020.

Known as the “Billionaire Bunker,” the island is home to hotel magnate Jeffrey Soffer, activist Carl Icahn, and Hotels.com founder Robert Diener.

Even music power couple Jay Z and Beyoncé once called the island home.

Former Miami Dolphins coach Don Shula, who passed away in 2020, also owned properties there.

Bezos now becomes the richest billionaire on the so-called Billionaire Bunker.

Each property has waterfront locations and beautiful views, but the most desirable feature is security.

It is only accessible by a single, guarded bridge, and it has a private police force that patrols the community 24 hours a day by foot, air, and land.

The island has its own police force that guards all amenities, including a private 18-hole golf course, and is patrolled 24 hours a day on boats and jet skis.

Bezos and Sanchez got engaged earlier this year, with the mogul proposing aboard his $500 million superyacht.

At 127 meters in length and 70 meters in height, Koru is one of the world’s largest sailing yachts, complete with a 75-metre support vessel that has its own helipad.
