It is official. Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez are engaged.

As they launched their lives together, the Amazon boss popped the question to his Emmy Award-winning journalist girlfriend aboard his $500 million superyacht, sources tell DailyMail.com.

The couple were seen kissing and cuddling all weekend aboard ‘Koru’, while 53-year-old Sanchez struggled to hide the Balearic island-sized rock that glittered on her ring finger – sparkling proof that she said ‘Yes’ .

The newly minted fiancees were photographed off the coast of Cannes, enjoying a Mediterranean odyssey and the inaugural voyage of Bezos’ half-billion dollar superyacht.

At 125 meters in length and 70 meters in height, Koru is one of the world’s largest sailing yachts, complete with 250-foot support vessel with its own helipad.

The pair flew to Europe on a private jet and were first seen on the deck of the superyacht last weekend.

Never knowingly underestimated, the man who built his own space rocket provided a less-than-subtle clue that this trip would be all about Sanchez, as Bezos, 59, ordered a curvaceous figurehead for the bow of the boat.

It’s unclear when the gold-plated, polished wooden sculpture became part of the ship’s design, but the yacht was commissioned in 2018, a year before the Bezos and Sanchez affair was exposed by the National Enquirer in a flurry of scandals that ended their marriages.

The story was published on January 9, 2019. Earlier that same day, Bezos and his then-wife, Mackenzie Tuttle, 53, posted an announcement on Twitter that they were separating and that the divorce was “amicable” after 25 years of marriage.

Around that same time, Sanchez told her then-husband, Patrick Whitesell, 58, the truth about her affair with Bezos and revealed she had been approached for comment by the Enquirer.

Bezos was introduced to Sanchez, then a long-time host of Fox’s “Good Morning LA,” in 2016 by his friend, her husband, Whitesell, co-CEO of Hollywood talent agency WME.

As couples, Bezos and Mackenzie and Sanchez and Whitesell hung out together, with the unwitting spouses considering each other a friend.

In the wake of the affair revelation, Bezos and Sanchez’s marriages imploded

Novelist Tuttle walked away with a $35.6 billion settlement, most of which she has promised to give away to charities. She next married Seattle science teacher Dan Jewett, though the marriage ended in September 2022.

But while the beginning of their relationship may have been a stormy one, it seems that Bezos and Sanchez are going smoothly these days.

Pictured on the deck of Koru, a name that is Maori for ‘coil’ or ‘loop’ and refers to the unfolding of a frond, the two seemed more in love than ever.

Fittingly, the koru design common in traditional Maori art is meant to symbolize new life, growth and peace.

Photos taken of Bezos and Sanchez as they sunbathe, surf and live the luxurious life of the high seas show them kissing and lovingly touching each other as they bask aboard their personal love boat.

Dressed casually, with Bezos looking muscular in swim shorts and Sanchez finishing in a bikini or casual camisole and pants, the pair seem determined to keep their vacation as low key as a multi-million dollar experience taking in some of the most beautiful coastlines of the world can be considered.

The Koru was handed over to Bezos last month. It underwent sea trials in February and is the second largest sailing vessel in the world – surpassed only by the Philippe Starcke-designed sailing yacht A, owned by Russian fertilizer billionaire Andrey Melnichenko.

Last year, even before Koru was launched, the sheer size of her masts sparked international controversy when Rotterdam announced that the center section of the 100-year-old Koningshaven Bridge would be removed to allow the superyacht to take to the North Sea. .

The Koru was unveiled in March after five years of construction. Along with a private submarine, Koru sails a smaller 250-foot support ship equipped with a helipad and filled with a collection of speedboats and supercars for Bezos and Sanchez to enjoy.

Reports say Bezos had said he would pay to have the bridge dismantled and rebuilt, but his request was denied.

Outraged locals also created a petition to pelt the boat with rotten eggs on its maiden voyage — which garnered thousands of signatures.

Responding to the comments, Rotterdam mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb said that no permit had been applied for and that the masts were eventually attached downstream in the port of Rotterdam.

The three-masted schooner was finally delivered at the end of April and sailed from the Netherlands to Mallorca via Gibraltar.

Along with a private submarine, Koru sails a smaller 250-foot support vessel equipped with a helipad and filled with a collection of speedboats and supercars for Bezos and Sanchez to enjoy.

The main ship, which is painted midnight blue and has gold accents, features three decks, a swimming pool and a huge sundeck — the same one Bezos and Sanchez used earlier this week.

The interior is reportedly inspired by Eos, a 305-foot yacht owned by former Fox CEO Barry Diller, and the megaboat costs $25 million a year to maintain.
