Jeannie Mai claims she was blindsided as she found out about Jeezy filing for divorce on news… while estranged husband argues they knew separation was coming

Jeannie Mai and Jeezy have made conflicting statements about their divorce.

The television personality, 44, claimed she learned about her divorce from the news, while the rapper, 46, reportedly stated that this was not true.

On Monday, the actress appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show and admitted she was “gutted” after learning her now estranged husband had filed for divorce.

Just days after she suggested her ex was unfaithful, he told the host that finding out “at the same time as the rest of the world” was “kind of hard,” but the breakup is something she's “taking day by day.”

This comes about two months after it was reported that the couple had split and filed for divorce in September.

Jeannie Mai and Jeezy have made conflicting statements about their divorce. On Monday, the actress, 44, appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show and admitted she was “gutted” after learning her now-estranged husband had filed for divorce.

A source close to the couple said the 46-year-old rapper refuted his ex's claims that he blindsided her over their divorce and that she found out about the divorce filing through the news.

“I think I'm doing better now,” she said after Hudson asked how she's been doing since the divorce.

However, she admitted she couldn't say the same weeks ago when she was reportedly blindsided by Jeezy, whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins.

“When I found out at the same time as the rest of the world that my marriage ended in divorce, I was devastated,” she said.

In the aftermath of their divorce, she said she has been “picking up the pieces” and focusing on “discovering” herself.

Most importantly, she said her main priority is “being a mother with the best blessing in my life: my little girl.”

About a year ago, Mai welcomed her daughter Monaco, almost 11 months old, with Jenkins.

She also said on the show that she wants to make sure their child can spend time with her father during the holidays.

Just last week, Mai had cited her prenuptial agreement in her response to Jenkins' divorce petition and suggested that Jenkins had been unfaithful.

A source said TMZ just hours after Monday's episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show featuring Mai's guest appearance aired, these claims were claimed to be false.

The insider said Jenkins also refuted what his estranged wife said on the show about how he blindsided her over their divorce.

He claimed it was something they both knew was coming because they had gone to multiple marriage counselors and therapists in the lead-up to their divorce, the source told the outlet.

They also claimed that Jenkins adamantly refutes the allegations of cheating.
