Jay-Z statement in full as he is accused of raping girl, 13, with Diddy
Jay-Z has broken his silence after being accused of raping a 13-year-old girl with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs in 2000.
The 55-year-old rapper, born Shawn Corey Carter, released a statement via the Roc Nation X account denying and condemning the allegations in the complaint.
An updated complaint in a civil case against Combs alleges that Jay-Z and Combs raped the girl at an afterparty after the MTV Video Music Awards in September 2000.
Jay-Z was added to the lawsuit, which was originally filed in October as one of several anonymous complaints by Texas attorney Tony Buzbee.
Many of the lawsuits did not survive because the plaintiffs refused to reveal their identities. However, the judge ruled that the then 13-year-old victim had sufficient reason to continue the trial anonymously.
In Jay-Z’s statement, he lambasted Buzbee, suggesting he was not a legitimate lawyer, and launched a slew of insults, calling him a “deplorable human being” and “ambulance chaser in a cheap suit.”

The rapper added that the allegations, which he said were “so heinous in nature,” were all “idiotic.”
In the letter, the Roc Nation founder began, “My attorney received a blackmail attempt, a so-called demand letter, from an ‘attorney’ named Tony Buzbee.”
He accused Buzbee of taking on the case for “personal gain,” writing, “What he calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle.”
‘No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you in a VERY public way for the fraud you’re committing,” he continued. “So no, I’m not giving you a single red cent!!”
“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil complaint!! Whoever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked up, don’t you agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case,” he continued.
“This lawyer, who I did some research on, seems to have a pattern of this kind of theater!” I have no idea how you became such a deplorable human being, Mr. Buzbee, but I promise you that I have seen your kind many times. I’m more than willing to deal with your type,” he added.
“You claim to be a Marine?! Marines are known for their bravery, you have no honor or dignity’
The rapper then said that it is ‘unfair’ that his family, and especially his eldest daughter Blue Ivy, is also affected by the lawsuit.

The 55-year-old rapper, born Shawn Corey Carter, released a statement via the Roc Nation X account denying and condemning the allegations in the filing.
“My only heartbreak is for my family,” he wrote. “My wife and I will have to sit down our children, one of whom is at the age when her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people.
“I mourn yet another loss of innocence,” he wrote.
‘Children shouldn’t have to experience this at a young age. “It is unfair to have to try to understand the inexplicable level of malice intended to destroy families and the human spirit,” he added.
“My heart and support go out to real victims in the world who have to watch their life stories being costumed for profit by this ambulance chaser in a cheap suit.”
“You have made a terrible error in judgment by thinking that all ‘celebrities’ are the same. I’m not from your world,” he wrote.
“I am a young man who survived the Brooklyn project. We don’t play these kinds of games. We have very strict codes and honor,” he continued.

‘We protect children, you seem to be exploiting people for personal gain. Only your network of conspiracy theorists, fake physics, will believe the idiotic claims you have made against me which, without the severity of the harm to children, would be laughable.”
He concluded his statement, writing, “I look forward to showing you how different I am.”
On the same day, Combs also shared a statement through his legal representatives, according to ABC News.
His legal representatives responded to the latest filing, stating, “This amended complaint and the recent racketeering case against Mr. Buzbee expose his barrage of lawsuits against Mr. Combs for what they are: shameless publicity stunts, designed to extract payments coercing celebrities who are afraid lies are being spread about them, just as lies have been spread about Mr. Combs.”
“As his legal team has previously said, Mr. Combs has complete confidence in the facts and the integrity of the legal process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs never sexually abused or trafficked anyone – male or female, adult or minor,” Combs’ representatives said in the statement.
