Jay-Z heads to DC to catch Commanders vs Cowboys as Jayden Daniels hype grows

Famed rapper Jay-Z left Brooklyn and headed to Northwest Stadium to watch the Commanders-Cowboys rivalry live with Fanatics CEO and friend Michael Rubin.

Jay-Z was dressed in all black with a beanie, sunglasses and a peach-colored jacket alongside a black sweatshirt.

The “Dirt Off Your Shoulder” artist doesn’t appear to have any vested interest in the match, aside from the fact that he may see Rookie of the Year favorite Jayden Daniels in person.

Jay-Z’s Roc Nation brand has partnered with the NFL in recent years to help produce the Super Bowl halftime shows, while the legendary rapper has never performed during the NFL’s championship halftime show.

The Commanders are coming off a resurgent season, going 7-4 heading into their matchup with their archrivals.

Dallas was one of the most disappointing teams in the NFL this year at 3-7.

Washington’s home stadium is in Landover, Maryland, 11 miles outside the city center.

The rivalry between the Commanders and Cowboys is considered one of the most storied and hated rivalries in the NFL.

Even if one of the franchises is having a bad year, it’s still considered a huge win every time one team beats the other.

Jay-Z previously said he was interested in buying the Commanders when they went up for sale two years ago.

Yet it was the group led by Josh Harris and basketball legend Magic Johnson that secured Daniel Snyder’s ownership.

Jay-Z has won 24 Grammy Awards in his career, most of them with Kanye West as a hip-hop artist.
