Jay Blades is married! The Repair Shop star ties the knot with fiancée Lisa Zbozen

Jay Blades married his fiancee Lisa Zbozen in a beautiful ceremony on November 22 in Barbados.

The presenter, known for the BBC’s The Repair Shop, married his better half on the grounds of a beachfront villa, with just 15 guests in attendance.

Describing the day, she simply called it “perfect”, though she did admit to tearing up during the nuptials.

Lisa wore a simple yet elegant wedding dress from Romantic Dreams Bridal in Birmingham, which featured a mesh overlay at the bust and a plunging neckline.

While Jay opted for a smart black linen suit for the warm weather, with a white shirt underneath to complement it.

The furniture restorer and presenter, told Hello! magazine: ‘One word sums up the day: perfect.

“We had our closest family there, the weather held up and everything went very well,” he explained.

While Lisa added: “Once you get to a certain age, you realize what’s really important in the day, and that is having people around you who love you for who you are.” So we made the day our day.

And it seemed to be an emotional day for the couple, with Jay shedding a tear as he exchanged vows with his new wife.

She sweetly described the moment as “getting tunnel vision” with just Lisa there, admitting that that moment was when it “hit me.”

And the ceremony even gave a nod to The Repair Shop, as they exchanged rings designed by jewelry expert Richard Talman, both rings containing birthstones.

The rings were also based on the Egyptian style of an imperfect circle, and Lisa explained that she didn’t want a perfect ring to reflect it.

Jay’s marriage is his second after his 2015 split from ex-wife Jade, and the former couple share 15-year-old daughter Zola.

The couple got engaged in December 2021 when Jay popped the question, before tying the knot just under a year later.
