Jax Taylor to check out of inpatient treatment center within days… and his ‘top priority’ is to spend time with son Cruz as he moves back in near estranged wife Brittany Cartwright
Jax Taylor is ready to move back home after seeking help at a mental health facility last month.
The 45-year-old Vanderpump Rules star plans to leave the hospital later this week, sources close to him said. TMZ on monday.
His current plans are to leave on Thursday, August 22nd and then move back to his home in Los Angeles.
According to sources, Jax is looking forward to spending some quality time with his 3-year-old son Cruz, whom he shares with his estranged wife Brittany Cartwright, who recently sparked romance rumors with a former Bachelorette suitor.

He is said to be most excited about spending time with his son Cruz, three (pictured). Jax will also return to work at The Valley, but only when he is ready, as it is not a huge priority.
While Jax is eagerly awaiting a moment where he can bond with Cruz, there’s no indication that his and Brittany’s relationship will improve.
According to sources close to him, he wants to return to his childhood home, where he lived before entering the treatment facility. Brittany, however, will continue to live nearby, in a home she recently rented.
Besides wanting to spend as much time with Cruz as possible, Jax is looking forward to getting back to his normal life after his life was completely turned upside down during treatment.
Part of getting back to his old routine will include getting back to work, though sources noted that isn’t one of his top priorities.
Jax missed much of the filming of the second season of The Valley, the Vanderpump Rules spinoff series that he and Brittany star in alongside fellow fired alum Kristen Doute and several newcomers. The series returned earlier this summer and continued to air while Jax was undergoing treatment.
Although Brittany and the rest of the cast moved on without him, he will rejoin them in front of the cameras once he’s out of the facility.
However, he won’t be appearing in front of the camera again anytime soon until he’s completely back on track with the rest of his private life.
According to sources, Jax plans to reveal details about why he had to go to rehab in the first place, but he wants to take his time with it first.
They indicated that viewers can expect a particularly moving episode, in which he openly talks about what happened in his private life.
Earlier this month, Jax confirmed that his son Cruz had been checked into a mental health facility in a touching Instagram post.
The former Vanderpump Rules star shared an adorable photo of himself holding the three-year-old boy and giving him a kiss on the cheek.

Late last month, a spokesperson for Jax told TMZ that he was “seeking clinical treatment” for “mental health issues.”
“I’m working on getting better buddy, I love you ,” he lovingly wrote in the caption.
Cruz seemed happy to spend some time with his father, smiling softly at the camera as he munched on an apple.
On Tuesday, a Jax representative shared with TMZ that he was “seeking clinical treatment” for “mental health issues.”
“Jax has always been outspoken about his mental health struggles, especially in recent months on his podcast,” they said.
“He has decided to undergo inpatient treatment. This is a particularly sensitive time for him and his family. They ask for privacy and respect until he is ready to speak more about this matter.”
The decision to seek help followed a disturbing police visit to the home where Jax had lived for a time with his wife Brittany Cartwright following their divorce in February, but she later moved into an Airbnb after tensions between the two became too high.
He reportedly spoke to police officers, who were carrying a brown envelope, before going to the gym to work out.
Earlier this month, DailyMail.com reported that the California Franchise Tax Board had seized their $1.9 million Los Angeles home for $35,239.88.
The tax claim was filed on June 12 of this year.
Brittany had previously stated that she was responsible for all of the bills for the house, while Jax was the one handling the mortgage payments.
DailyMail.com contacted Cartwright’s representatives at the time, but they declined to comment.
According to the documents describing the security, “further interest and charges will accrue” until the security is fully repaid.

Last month on their podcast When Reality Hits, Jax outlined some of the strategies he and Brittany were working on in hopes of saving their marriage, including therapy.
Brittany and Jax’s relationship dates back to 2015, but things took a turn in 2017 when Jax admitted to having an affair with their Vanderpump Rules co-star Faith Stowers.
The couple eventually reconciled and got engaged the following year, before marrying in Kentucky in 2019. They welcomed little Cruz in 2021.
After being fired from Vanderpump Rules in 2020, the couple began documenting the dissolution of their marriage earlier this year in the spinoff series The Valley, which also stars another former Vanderpump Rules alumna: Kristen Doute.
