Jason Whitlock suggests Shannon Sharpe intentionally streamed himself having sex on Instagram live to shutdown gay rumors and bait viewers

As the Shannon Sharpe sex scandal loomed, Jason Whitlock suggested the First Take host stream the controversial Instagram Live feed to attract viewers.

Social media exploded on Wednesday when Sharpe’s Instagram account went live and the NFL Hall of Famer was heard having sex with a woman he called “Michelle.”

While Sharpe was discussing the situation and admitting his mistakes on Nightcap that evening, Whitlock suggested that Sharpe had planned the “accident” to gain more viewers.

“He is a master of lure,” Whitlock said‘Late in the evening he goes to Nightcap, confesses his actions and gets 185,000, 190,000, 200,000 live viewers on YouTube – that’s a huge number.

‘And so people immediately go to [say]: ‘Was this leaked intentionally for publicity? ‘Was this leaked intentionally to combat the rumors that Shannon Sharpe is gay? Those rumors have been going around for a while.’

Sharpe said during the much-watched episode of Nightcap that he threw his phone on the bed and had no idea that a livestream had started from the ceiling, showing Sharpe and the woman having sex.

While Sharpe talked about struggling with technology, co-host Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson emphasized that starting a livestream requires multiple steps and rarely happens by accident.

Later in Nightcap, Sharpe noted how his team took the initiative to claim that their boss’s account had been hacked. That slide was later deleted when Sharpe admitted to the incident.

As for the rumors about his sexuality, Sharpe revealed that he received a phone call from comedian Kat Williams, who joked that he was with “Michelle” and not “Michael.”

Sharpe admitted on Nightcap on Wednesday night that he had made a mistake and addressed the situation.

After noting that comics drew much of their material from the rumors surrounding Sharpe, Whitlock went one step further by arguing that Sharpe was playing by industry standards by joining the “sex cult.”

“I want to get more serious about this topic and connect it to everything I’ve talked about and said on this show,” Whitlock said. “The entertainment industry, the music industry, the television industry, the film industry — they’ve all been manipulated to promote sexual promiscuity, homosexuality, transgenderism, and just sexual fluidity.”

‘If you want to be part of the club, you have to join the sex cult that runs the club, that gives away million-dollar contracts.’
