Jason Kelce wears a beret for ESPN debut after Paris Olympics trips – and insists he IS wearing underwear after saying he NEVER normally chooses to!

Jason Kelce made his NFL Countdown debut, in true Jason Kelce style, after returning from the Olympic Games in Paris.

The former Philadelphia Eagles center retired from the NFL in March after 13 seasons and a Super Bowl victory. A month after hanging up his boots, Kelce signed a three-year deal with ESPN, which will pay him $1.8 million annually, to join the NFL program.

On Thursday, the much-loved NFL legend made his long-awaited debut alongside Scott Van Pelt, Ryan Clark and Marcus Spears. Kelce, who flew in from the Paris Games, continued to embrace the Olympic spirit — adding a beret to his suit.

“I’m still on Paris time, so I had to go with the Parisian headdress,” Kelce said when his panelist asked about his outfit.

On Tuesday, Kelce was spotted in the French capital, cheering on Team USA in various competitions.

Kelce, along with his wife Kylie, watched Simone Biles and the U.S. women’s gymnastics team win gold in a team competition. They also supported the women’s rugby sevens team as they secured a podium finish.

After a long day of supporting their fellow Canadians at the games, Kylie posted a hilarious clip of Jason to her Instagram Story. The video shows her husband looking exhausted on a chair, a stack of cups in one hand and his phone in the other, as he holds a rugby ball and a miniature volleyball between his left forearm and torso.

Kelce also wore an American flag hat, a rugby jersey with the athletes’ signatures and a shirt with the American colors on it, with Maher’s face printed in several places.

“Yes that’s @ilonamaher on his shirt,” Kylie wrote. “When you finally sit down after all the excitement…”

Additionally, his new coworkers teased Kelce about wearing underwear after he revealed that he didn’t like the discomfort of underwear.

“I think it’s unnecessary and it’s problematic to the freedom that my boys enjoy. If that’s going to change… I don’t think it’s going to change,” Kelce said on an episode of New Heights.

However, when Clark joked about Kelce changing his life because of his new profession, Kelce immediately ran with it, saying, “That’s new. Well, it’s a gray suit — if I don’t wear it, it’s risky.”
