Jason Kelce teases Taylor Swift’s dad Scott for wearing a Chiefs sweater for Patriots game, despite being an Eagles fan – as he tells Travis: ‘It’s nice… but it’s the wrong team!’

Jason Kelce once again jokingly questioned Taylor Swift's father Scott about his Philadelphia Eagles fandom, this time for wearing a Chiefs jersey while cheering on his brother Travis against the Patriots on Sunday.

Scott Swift has been a lifelong fan of the Eagles – the team Jason plays for – but since his daughter started dating Travis, he seems to be an adopted member of the Chiefs kingdom.

When he first met Travis at an Eras show in Argentina in November, Scott was seen wearing a Chiefs lanyard while watching the show with the NFL star.

And after wearing a vintage red Chiefs jersey on Sunday, Jason couldn't resist talking about it on the latest episode of New Heights.

“Taylor and obviously Scott (were there)…nice sweater there,” Jason said emphatically.

It did not go unnoticed by Jason Kelce of the Philadelphia Eagles, the team Scott is a fan of

Jason told brother Travis that Scott's jersey was “nice” but added that “it's the wrong team”

Travis responded with a laugh, “Yes, full Chiefs gear. It really suits him very well. He rocks, man, and he seems to be having a good time!'.

Jason said, “No, it suits him. I actually think his skin color suits green more, if I say so myself.

'It's a nice sweater, I'm not going to lie. It's the wrong team, but it's a nice jersey.'

It's believed that Jason hasn't met Swift or her family yet, but on a previous episode of New Heights he talked about his desire to talk football with Scott.

Travis told him in November that Scott was playing center, in the same position as Jason.

“We'll have to get together one day and talk about a store downtown,” Jason said.

On that same November 15 episode, Jason made a plea to Scott to stay with the Eagles.

“Are you going to let your devilish good looks and relationship with your daughter distract you from a life of fandom, Scott?” Jason joked, referring to his younger brother. 'This is ridiculous.'

Taylor and Scott appear to have become Chiefs fans since she started dating Travis

Travis replied, “I got him on the right side, honey.”

Taylor herself said earlier this year that she is an Eagles fan – albeit before she was in a relationship with Travis.

She grew up partly in Pennsylvania, and during a show in Philadelphia this year she took the time to clarify that a line mentioning “Eagles” in her song Gold Rush is about the NFL team and not the band.

In the song from the album 'Evermore' she sings: 'I see myself walking across your wooden floors, with my Eagles t-shirt hanging on the door'.

She said: 'I don't know how big the debate was, but I saw the debate. I have a text that says, 'With my Eagles t-shirt at the door.'

“I saw some people wondering if it was the band The Eagles or the team The Eagles, and I love the band The Eagles, but guys, come on. I'm from Philly. Of course it's the team.'
