Jason Kelce seen brandishing a SWORD as he and brother Travis post bizarre teaser for New Heights episode

Jason Kelce brandished a sword in a teaser for the upcoming episode of his New Heights podcast with brother Travis on Wednesday.

The first photo shows the Kansas City Chiefs tight end smiling in his seat. Meanwhile, his older brother stood behind his chair with both hands on the sword handle and appeared to be making a cutting motion.

The teaser comes after Travis suggested his older brother give his wife Kylie a sword as a belated birthday gift to make up for lost time.

During last week’s episode, the former Eagles center admitted that his appearance had been postponed for nearly a month, citing their live show at the University of Cincinnati in April as the reason.

“I mean, I don’t think she would be into it,” Jason said about giving Kylie a sword as a gift. “Right now, a sword is definitely better than what I currently gave her.”

“Now I have to get it to Kylie before this episode airs on Wednesday,” Jason added. “So I (must) move quickly with this sword.”

Jason holding the sword in the upcoming episode will reflect an idea they teased after his retirement in March. While discussing possible hobbies he could take up, Jason suggested he take up blacksmithing so he could learn to make knives.

“I love the TV show Forged in Fire,” Jason said. ‘I want to go to a blacksmith and make a knife, that would be fun.

‘You can count on that, don’t do that without me. I’m going to make a sword,” Travis suggested.

“A sword is a whole different undertaking, I don’t know if we’re good enough to make a sword,” Jason replied.

While the sword will likely be his gift to Kylie, Jason also received a unique gift when he received a saxophone from a local Philadelphia company in honor of his retirement.

At a charity golf event on Monday, Kelce received a baritone saxophone worth $7,000 from the Vincera Institute, an orthopedic clinic in Philly. The retired Eagles star, who played the instrument in high school, claimed he would likely start practicing again after receiving the gift.

“I want to start playing the saxophone again, I hadn’t played seriously for a while,” he said. “So maybe this year I can walk down Broad Street with this thing.”

About two months after hanging up his boots, Kelce confirmed he would be joining ESPN as a football analyst this year.
