Jason Kelce reveals his favorite Taylor Swift song and his three-year-old daughter Elliotte’s hilarious lyric change

There’s one song that fills the walls of Jason Kelce’s home. Thanks to his three-year-old daughter Elliotte, there’s a cute and hilarious change to the lyrics that might just make the song even better.

In an episode of The Pivot podcast, the former Philadelphia Eagles center was asked about Elliotte’s favorite song by Taylor Swift, the girlfriend of Jason’s brother Travis Kelce.

Not only did Jason reveal the song, but he also talked about a lyrical change his daughter makes when she sings it.

“Right now I’m mainly listening to the new track ‘I Can Do It With A Broken Heart,’” Jason said.

‘Elli, there’s a line now [the song that goes] “I’m a real tough guy, I can handle my own shit.”

Jason also shared that his three-year-old daughter, Elliotte, makes one change to the lyrics

‘And Elli is three years old and she says, “I’m a really cool kid, I can do my own thing.” That’s all I hear every day, because it makes me laugh every time.’

The song, taken from Swift’s most recent album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department,’ has currently been streamed 413.6 million times on Spotify since it was first released in April.

Swift recently caused a stir, through no fault of her own, after the NFL featured her extensively in an advertisement leading up to the start of the season on Thursday.

Avid fans of the sport were less than pleased with the media attention Swift received when she attended her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s games for the Kansas City Chiefs last season.

And just days before opening night of the 2024 season — when reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City hosts the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday — the NFL has already sparked outrage after featuring the pop star more than anyone else in the new promo.

In the video, which spans the six calendar months of the season and shows highlights from the 2023 season, Swift appears no fewer than five times.

She’s first seen partying alongside Kelce’s mom Donna at Arrowhead in two separate clips in September, before arriving at a game in January wearing a custom ‘Kelce 87’ Chiefs jacket.

Also in January, Taylor is seen sharing a kiss with Travis on the field after Kansas City’s AFC Championship win in Baltimore. In February, a clip shows her drinking a beer on the big screen during last season’s Super Bowl.

Meanwhile, star quarterback Brock Purdy, who inspired the San Francisco 49ers to reach the Super Bowl last year, and fellow Cincinnati Bengals forward Joe Burrow do not appear once in the video.

Other notable players not featured in the promo include quarterbacks CJ Stroud (Houston Texans), Matthew Stafford (LA Rams) and Jordan Love (Green Bay Packers).

And while he’s considered the face of the NFL, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes doesn’t appear until the very end of the video, when he holds up the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
