Jason Kelce reveals dramatic weight loss after NFL retirement… but Eagles legend claims he won’t lose too much to avoid looking like a ‘bobblehead’
Jason Kelce has been out of the NFL since March, but the Eagles legend has shed a significant amount of weight in a short time.
The former offensive lineman, who played most of his career in the 295-pound class, told GQ that he already has 277 points, although there is a limit to how much he is willing to lose.
“Right now I weigh about 277,” he said. “…It’s hard to imagine losing almost another 20 pounds, to be honest. But my back already feels better. My knees already feel better. So hopefully that extra 20 pounds will allow me to play much better with my kids.”
The 36-year-old father of three (he has three daughters with wife Kylie) added: “I don’t want to get too small. I think a lot of guys, especially offensive linemen, lose too much weight and then they look like bobbleheads because their necks get so small, but their heads stay the same size.
“So for me, I feel like for some reason 250 to 260 feels like I’m still going to be big and happy with the way I look without having a six-pack. But I will be able to maintain that size for a while.’
Jason Kelce (left in January) has looked noticeably slimmer since retiring from the NFL. He is seen at right last week in Cannes, France.

Jason can now spend more time with his daughters and Kylie: four-year-old Wyatt, three-year-old Elliotte and one-year-old Bennett.
He’s not quitting work altogether, though, as he’s set to join ESPN’s Monday Night Football program.
That role will obviously keep him free from the type of injuries he often suffered in the NFL.
Kelce had his knee reconstructed twice, broke toes and also underwent surgery on his hand and groin.
“Everyone leaves the competition with some kind of barrier,” he told GQ.

“So I leave the game with those scars, but for all practical purposes I can play with my kids. I can still enjoy life to the fullest, which I think is a blessing, whether you played in the NFL or not.”
Jason and Kylie, who is 31, married on April 14, 2018.
They then had their eldest daughter, Wyatt, in October 2019, followed by Elliotte in March 2021 and Bennett in February 2023.
