Jason Kelce has opened up on his move to broadcasting next season, with the retired NFL legend set to join ESPN.

After months of speculation about his next move after retiring in March, the Super Bowl winner’s next move was confirmed by New Heights earlier this week.

“Monday Night Football just got better, congratulations @JasonKelce,” read a statement on the official social media account of the Kelce brothers’ popular podcast.

It came shortly afterwards The Athletics first reported that the former Eagles center was moving into the broadcast booth.

Kelce, who was wanted by multiple networks, is expected to be part of the “Monday Night Countdown” pregame show.

When asked about his next venture on this week’s episode of New Heights, Jason admitted he was loving being in front of the camera.

He said, “Yes, nothing has been officially signed or announced yet, but there have been a lot of reports that I’m going to ESPN and I think time will take care of that.

“It’s a tremendous honor to even be considered to potentially work there. That network was all Travis and I watched growing up. We talk about it all the time, last year Rich Eisen was on the show.

“We talk about all those guys we grew up watching. We loved watching Sports Center. Before phones, that was the only way to get all the coverage. We were glued to the TV every day, so the fact that I’ll probably probably work there is pretty cool man.”

Travis added, “That’s awesome man. Those are nice things to see come full circle, because we lived and died by ESPN on that TV growing up, man.

“To see you up there with a microphone in your hand will be hilarious man. That is amazing’

Jason continued, “I’m a talking head now. Well, not officially. I do my due diligence. You want to make sure you really look at things, talk to people in the industry, none of us have done anything like that.

“Throughout the process and meeting and talking to people at ESPN it became clear that this was really the right fit and ultimately it’s something I’m really, really looking forward to in this next phase.

‘It is a bit clearer now and I am enthusiastic about that. I know to some extent who I’m working with and I have a very high opinion of them all.

“I’m excited to learn. I know a lot about football but not much about this world, so that’s just another way to keep expanding your knowledge and building relationships because that’s what any business is about. It’s always about the people you hang out with. I’m very excited.’
