Jason Kelce has admitted he doesn’t want a cat, despite his wife Kylie insisting she will get one after his drunken, shirtless antics in Buffalo, simply because he hates the smell of their pee.
On the latest episode of the New Heights podcast with Travis and Jason Kelce, the Eagles center made it clear that if he and his family want to add a small feline to their household of five, it will have to be “outdoors” and not domesticated.
“Listen, I respect what a cat can do in nature,” Jason said at first. ‘It is a fierce, hunting animal. (…) I don’t want one like these rag dolls… I’ve learned so much about cats this past week. Last week, Kylie joked about getting a cat without Jason’s permission under an Instagram post shared by New Heights, using her husband’s famous catchphrase from the Chiefs-Bills game.
“I’m not asking permission, I’m doing this.” – the exact quote I will say when I grab the keys to go get a cat,” she wrote.

On Wednesday, Jason responded by saying, “Ky tweeted or Instagrammed this and I immediately googled ‘how to lose a cat.’
‘Nothing came out. All that came up was, “Oh, are you sad that you just lost a cat?” he added. ‘No, I have to lose a cat. I’m not afraid of losing it. I want to get rid of it, and I’m surprised there hasn’t been any research on good ways to accidentally get rid of a cat.”
Kylie has been trying to get her husband to become a cat lover for weeks. In fact, on a previous episode of New Heights last month, Kylie and Travis reflected on how they could work together to convince Jason to add a cat to his Philly home.
“No, here’s the deal, I told Jason I want to get a cat. And he said no. And I feel like you might like cats now,” she said, referencing Swift’s love of cats. The pop star is the proud owner of three little felines: Meredith Gray, Olivia Benson and Benjamin Button.
