Jason Kelce marked his final ESPN Monday Night Football appearance before Christmas in style on Monday night, dressed as Santa Claus for the New Orleans Saints vs Green Bay Packers.
Earlier in the day, ESPN host Scott Van Pelt shared a photo of himself dressed as an elf alongside Kelce as Santa Claus — but Van Pelt was back in his suit for the broadcast. Kelce was still in his festive outfit.
Kelce’s outfit caught the attention of his younger brother, an NFL superstar. Travis, a three-time Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowler, reposted Jason’s photo with two crying emojis.
And he wrote: ‘Let’s go!! I have to tune in to this!’
Kelce was also filmed handing out cheese to the Packers fans who had arrived early at Lambeau Field for the game – a reference to Green Bay fans’ nickname “cheeseheads.”
Kelce’s ESPN outfits have led to some criticism before. During the first week he lost his travel bag, so for his debut show he bought a shirt that was a little too small for him.
He joked about his misfortune, saying live during the opening broadcast that “my t**s are still struggling.”
Jason joined ESPN earlier this year after tearfully announcing his retirement from the NFL after thirteen seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Travis, meanwhile, is likely watching from home in Kansas City as he gets some rest before the Christmas Day Chiefs’ game in Pittsburgh against the Steelers.
