Jason Kelce delivers honest take on brother Travis’ slow start to the season amid Taylor Swift romance and rising fame

As Travis Kelce’s personal life and romance with Taylor Swift are dissected by the audience, his older brother and ESPN panelist Jason Kelce comes to his defense before the game against the Saints.

Travis Kelce has had a slow start to the season, not scoring a touchdown and averaging less than 40 yards per game in four games this season.

Even as Jason admits that Travis isn’t the dominant tight end most expect, he provided some context as possibly the person who knows him best.

‘Now he is enjoying his life very publicly. Everything he does and everything, basically our family, is very, very outrageous,” Jason Kelce said. “And that’s just the nature of the way it is now.

“I think Trav has been very healthy throughout his career. This is a man who has always found a way to appear in top form. And I know the optics make it all over the place, and that’s not unfair to reality, but it still keeps the bottom line. Football has always been the most important thing in Trav’s life.’

‘He always lived his life to the fullest. He really enjoyed his offseasons, even before Taylor Swift and everything else that was happening in our lives. And I think he will always find a way to make football the number one priority when it comes to preparation.”

“There are so many things that depend on this, between his relationship with his teammates, Andy Reed, and his legacy. So I know it’s been a slow start for him. Trav will always find a way to show up and show off. I think it’s only a matter of time before it goes back to the Travis Kelce we’ve been seeing.”

There’s more to come.
