Jason and Travis Kelce joked that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was “making gang signs” after suffering a nasty injury to his finger that left it at a bizarre angle.

Hurts took the hit during their 27-10 loss to the New York Giants in the final week of the NFL regular season.

He stayed in the game briefly, despite a hard blow to the right middle finger of his throwing hand and a quick examination in the medical tent.

The 25-year-old had his finger taped and put on a glove for some warm-up steps. He took off the glove and didn’t miss a beat until he was pulled along with several other starters late in the second quarter.

While discussing the amount of injuries the Eagles suffered against the Giants, the Kelce brothers discovered the funnier side of what Hurts’ hand looked like after his hit.

Travis said, “Jalen got beat up. His finger looked like it was about to snap and he walked away cool, calm and collected, as always.”

“Making gang signs,” Jason interrupted.

Travis continued, “Crazy, look at it and he’s walking around like nothing’s wrong.

“He said he’s never seen anything like this injury before. He said it stood out.

“It’s crazy and he was just chilling.”

Travis then asked his brother if he had ever suffered a similar injury, to which Jason replied, “I think so, but it never stopped there.” It popped and went back, not locked like that.”

Hurts said he is taking the injury “day by day” leading up to this week’s NFC wild-card playoff game against Tampa Bay.

As injuries piled up and fell behind 24-0 shortly before halftime, the playoff-bound Eagles pulled Hurts, Kelce and Lane Johnson, apparently giving up their chance to play for an NFC East title.

Early in the second half, Philadelphia announced that star receiver AJ Brown, safety Reed Blankenship (groin) and guard-backup center Cam Jurgen (eye) were injured and would not return.

Brown lay on the field for a few minutes after an air collision, walked gingerly to the medical tent favoring his right-left and then headed to the Eagles’ locker room.

Philadelphia entered the game without starters DeVonta Smith, Darius Slay, D’Andre Swift and Fletcher Cox, with their playoff seed still on the line.

Swift was sidelined due to an illness, Smith is sidelined with an ankle injury and Slay hasn’t played since undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery in December.

Six-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Cox was not listed on an injury report last week and rested for the playoffs.

Jason said the number of problems that piled up for the Eagles on Sunday was “insane.”

He added: “Yes, a lot of injuries. But even then, and I know no one wants to hear this, there are still learning moments throughout the game.

‘It was a terrible performance across the board. Obviously, I really didn’t want AJ Brown, Jalen Hurts, Sydney Brown, I mean Cam (Jurgen) to leave with an eye injury.

“It was crazy how many guys went down at one point. To be honest, it was just crazy the way the game went.”
