Britney Spears’ ex-husband Jason Alexander claimed Thursday that he still speaks to the pop princess — and that she is friends with his current wife Rebecca Bell.
Alexander, 42, told Kyle and Jackie O that after their marriage was annulled after 55 hours in 2004, he hadn’t spoken to Britney, 41, for a decade – but they have since reconciled.
“There was a period of ten years where I didn’t speak to her, but in 2020 she contacted me and we started talking on the phone,” he began.
Alexander said he managed to reconnect with Britney through regular phone calls, almost two decades after their infamous annulment.
He added that Britney has even started talking to his current wife Rebecca Bell, whom he married in March, and has become close with her.

‘My wife is not jealous of the situation at all, she is super supportive. She spoke to her on the phone several times and Britney said she was happy for us,” he added.
Elsewhere in the interview, Alexander, who famously eloped with the pop star in Las Vegas in 2004, said he ruined her wedding to Sam Asghari last year to “control her.”
The Toxic hitmaker’s childhood friend was arrested for battery and aggravated trespass when he broke into her California home in 2022, but he says he had a ‘good reason’ to ruin her wedding.

“She contacted me in 2020 and we started talking on the phone and had a private conversation that no one really knew about,” he told hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson.
“So when the conservatorship ended, I had a feeling that because of the way the conversations with me and her went, we would be able to see each other in real life for the first time since Vegas, besides just talking on the phone.
He continued, “So when I found out she was getting married, I literally spoke to her on the phone three days before, on that Monday before the wedding, and she didn’t even mention marriage.”
“There was a period of 10 years where I didn’t speak to her, but in 2020 she contacted me and we started talking on the phone,” Jason said
Jason went on to say that he was “super surprised” by the wedding and decided to show up at the ceremony because he was “actually in California at the time.”
He insisted that he was “really just trying to see (Britney) and ask her if (the wedding) was really what she wanted.”
Despite being asked to leave, Jason said he shouted at Britney while streaming the entire incident live on Instagram, but received no response before being stopped by security and later arrested.

Britney and Sam later split with the fitness instructor, 29, in August this year and filed for divorce.
In her new memoir, The Woman In Me, Britney claimed her 55-hour marriage to Jason in 2004 was just “harmless fun” they had when they were “drunk” and “bored.”
The marriage, which took place on January 3, 2004 at A Little White Wedding Chapel, was annulled three days later on January 5.
