Jason Aldean abruptly ends Hartford concert after heat stroke – but country singer says he has since recovered: ‘It was a combination of dehydration and heat exhaustion’
Jason Aldean was recovering from the stage on Sunday at his show in Hartford, CT Saturday night.
The award-winning country crooner, 46, explained what happened on Sunday in a video posted to Instagram Stories.
‘Hey, what’s up. Jason here and it’s Sunday I think,” the Try That in a Small Town singer told the camera.
“A lot of people checked on me today after hearing about what happened last night at the Connecticut show.”
The hitmaker looked healthy wearing a gray T-shirt and cap with a Florida logo on it.

“I’m fine,” the Dirt Road Anthem singer explained, “It was hot, I was golfing all day yesterday and then came to the show and just thought it was a combination of dehydration and heat- exhaustion.’
According to initial reports, the singer was suffering from heat stroke, but Jason said he didn’t think it was that serious.
Symptoms of heat stroke include palpitations, nausea, sweating, confusion and unconsciousness, according to the CDC.
The Amarillo Sky performer did admit, “it was pretty intense last night on the show. Anyone who was at the show last night knows how hot it was.’
The temperature in the area rose to 88 degrees and the humidity was recorded at 51 percent.
The Academy of Country Music award winner said he felt the symptoms coming on, but, “I tried to get through as much of the show as I could and in the end it was just, I knew it wasn’t going to happen and I just tried to enjoy it.” come off stage and find out what was going on.”
Jason revealed that he had been given fluids through an IV last night and another on Sunday.
The She’s Country singer kicked off the Highway Desperado tour in Bethel, NY on Friday.
Update: Jason gave an update in a video on Instagram Stories on Sunday, explaining that he felt well enough to perform Sunday’s show in Saratoga Springs, NY

An announcement on Xfinity Theater’s social media pages announced that the Hartford show would be rescheduled.
Jason shared a link to the post on social media and repeated that while saying goodbye in the video.
“Again, my apologies for cutting the show short, but we’ll be back to make it right.”
A well-rested Jason told his fans he was planning to play the scheduled concert in Saratoga Springs, NY on Sunday.
