Jared Leto showcases toned abs in throwback photos as he REVEALS the release date of upcoming single

Jared Leto showed off his muscular physique in a new Instagram post featuring tropical-themed throwback photos and announced the release date of his upcoming single on Wednesday.

The House Of Gucci actor, 51, who recently showed off his toned body in a mirror selfie, excitedly revealed that a new song from his band, Thirty Seconds To Mars, will be released next month on May 8.

The singer shared a close-up photo taken from a previous trip as he stood under the blazing sun wearing a striking blue and pink patterned shirt that he chose to leave open.

In the post’s caption, the star wrote to his nearly 11 million followers, “Okay you win. Our brand new single is out on MAY 8th!!!’

“I can’t believe we’re so close to releasing new music. Exciting and unnerving and fills me with gratitude,” the artist gushed to his fans.

The Suicide Squad actor explained, “I don’t go on vacation very often, but I’ve seen these pictures and may need a little escape, especially after the release of the new music and video.” This one almost killed me. I can’t wait to show you everything!’

Social media users flocked to the comment section to celebrate the news, including the rock band’s main Instagram page, which was founded in 1998, simply writing, “Mars is coming.”

Leto herself also added an extra message, writing: ‘May 8. Are you ready??’ but did not reveal any further details about the song’s title.

In a slew of other snaps added to the latest Instagram carousel, Jared shared a throwback photo of himself enjoying a day of snorkeling in the rippling, blue waters.

Another showed the star smiling as he soaked up the sun while wearing a wet suit and straw hat to protect not only his eyes but also his face from the blazing sun.

The singer, who is notably an avid rock climber, also showed he enjoyed the sport a bit when he climbed a small, rocky cliff bordering the clear water below.

Jared had previously opened up about a near-death experience he had in 2020 while climbing Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area in Las Vegas.

“Your heart is pounding, sweat is dripping from your body and you are excited, but you are training your body in a very intense way.”

Another photo showed Leto to the top of the large boulder as he approached the ledge in triumph.

Other photos had captured beautiful landscapes and wildlife, including the crystal clear blue waters at the tropical destination, as well as a colorful sunset reflected in the dark waters and outlining the clouds in the sky.

Jared had a bit of humorous fun in the last photo, which showed the actor holding up what appeared to be a beach shovel as he struck a dramatic pose as the sun’s rays beat down on him.

Aside from exciting holiday plans in the near future, especially with summer just around the corner, the star will also take some time to focus on his music career again.

His latest single was a collaboration with Illenium two years earlier in 2021 with the track titled Wouldn’t Change A Thing.

Earlier on Monday, hitmaker The Kill teased his fans and followers on Instagram about spending “Late nights in the studio,” adding the hashtags “#newalbum #soon.”

During an interview with iHeartMedia’s ALT 98.7 FM at the ALter Ego Festival 2023 in January, the Thirty Seconds To Mars singer had also hinted that music was on the way this year. “It could be a song, it could be an album, it could be a tour, it could be the whole kitten caboodle.”

When asked if he was nervous about releasing music again, Leto admitted, “I don’t mean really nervous, more excited to be honest. By the time we’re done making an album, we’re ready to hit the road again.”

He then added excitedly, “We’re ready to play the new songs. It’s exciting to play new songs.’
