Jared Leto is 30 seconds away from serious injury as actor tries to climb the wall of his Berlin hotel with a pair of sliders – three months after performing the same bizarre stunt without a harness

Jared Leto was 30 seconds away from serious injury on Tuesday when he tried to climb a wall outside his hotel in Berlin – without a safety harness.

For reasons known only to the Oscar-winning actor and musician, he bravely tried to scale the exterior of the five-star Hotel de Rome in a pair of ostentatious skull-sliders.

Risking a steep fall to the concrete access road, 51-year-old Leto managed to climb above the first-floor windows of the 19th-century hotel in his unconventional shoes before descending to the safety of Berlin’s Bebelplatz.

The eccentric 30 Seconds From Mars singer performed a similar stunt outside the same hotel in June, drawing a crowd as he hoisted himself onto one of the huge stone windowsills.

Days later, Leto repeated the risky climb during a trip to Paris, where he was seen scaling the concrete wall of a building in the French capital.

Leto attracted a slightly larger crowd for his most recent attempt, but his motivation for potentially causing serious harm to himself remains unclear.

It is thought the stunt is part of his preparations for a new film role or music video, with Leto appearing to have a conference with several people outside the hotel during his first attempt.

A tripod and stool stood nearby, while one person held up a large reflective sheet for extra light, indicating a production crew was there to film his exploits.

According to TMZ During his first attempt in Berlin, he was joined by internet personality Younes Zarou, known for his illusion TikTok videos.

Leto is known for his love of climbing and once revealed that he fell nearly 600 feet while rock climbing at Nevada’s Red Rock when his safety rope began to fray.

In 2020, the actor shared that a harrowing experience happened when he fell from a wall while climbing a cliff with professional rock climber Alex Honnold.

‘Not to sound dramatic, but this is the day I almost died. Got a pretty good fall climb with @alexhonnold at Red Rock,” he began in the caption of two photos and a short video of the scene.

“I looked up and within seconds the rope was cut through the rock as I dangled about 600 feet in the air.”

“I remember looking at the ground below. It was a strange moment: less fear, more factual and somewhat melancholic,” he said.

‘The adrenaline came afterwards, when I was back on the wall. But we survived and lived to see another day.”

With some time to let the experience sink in, Leto added, “Overall it was actually quite fun. we climbed further into the night.
