The former Los Angeles Rams QB said his playoff runs there didn’t generate much of the support he’s experiencing now.
“And obviously circumstances all play a role in that,” Goff said.
‘But yes, these fans are incredible. I expect to see a lot of it this weekend, it will be fun.’
Goff is currently in his third season with the Lions since being acquired via trade from the Rams and has been central to the Lions’ rebuild in recent seasons.
During his first season in Detroit, the Lions finished with a 3-10-1 record, a far cry from their 12-5 finish this season.
Goff’s numbers have also improved in each of his three years in Detroit, finishing the regular season with 407-605, 4,575 yards, 30 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
