Janet Jackson rocks the house in Hartford with 39-song set list (and edgy costume choices) as she continues her Together Again Tour

Janet Jackson took the stage at the Xfinity Center in Hartford, Connecticut last night and brought the house down like only she can.

The 58-year-old Rhythm Nation singer is currently on her highly anticipated Together Again Tour, which will feature a total of 35 dates and will conclude on July 30 in Phoenix.

The Nasty singer had several costume changes throughout the night as she made her way through her 39-song set.

At one point, Janet – who attended Kylie Minogue’s final concert of her Las Vegas residency – wore a long gray jacket over a white shirt and black tie. The cuffs of the shirt protruded from the sleeves of the jacket, which were covered in sequins at the wrists.

In an outfit change, the pop icon once again appeared in a red plaid jumpsuit with a black patent leather corset-style belt that added definition to her waist.

The Miss You Much singer is known for her elaborate dance performances during tours and this tour is no exception.

The 35 dates in 2024 are a follow-up to her 2023 tour, the most successful of her career.

‘Hey guys! By popular demand, we’re bringing the Together Again Tour back to North America this summer with special guest Nelly! It will be so much fun! Tickets go on sale Friday 1/19. We can’t wait to see you! #TogetherAgainTour,” the pop star wrote on Instagram earlier this year.

Janet has four acts and an encore in her set and on Saturday night in Hartford she performed a selection of her hits, including The Pleasure Principle, What Have You Done For Me Lately and Control, in two hours and 17 minutes.

She covered songs from Control (1986), Rhythm Nation 1814 (1989), janet (1993), Design of a Decade (1995), The Velvet Rope (1997), All for You (2001), Damita Jo (2004), 20 YO (2006), Discipline (2008), Number Ones (2009) and Unbreakable (2015).

During a pre-recorded segment played during the show, the When I Think Of U hitmaker reflected on her 51-year career, which began as the youngest member of the talented Jackson family.

“I still feel as excited today as I did all those years ago,” she said.

When Janet broke out her hit Rhythm Nation, she executed the step and pop moves with all the energy, coordination and precision of the 23-year-old she was when the song dropped.

As Justin Timberlake – who ripped off part of her shirt during the 2002 Super Bowl Halftime Show – struggles to shake rumors of his drink-driving, Janet proves she’s forever the queen of pop .

And on Saturday night, she brought her signature socially conscious, groovy, sexy, danceable numbers to the 30,000-seat arena.

Janet closed her main set with a cover of her brother Michael Jackson’s Scream and the crowd delighted Rhythm Nation.

She took the stage for the encore and performed Someone to Call My Lover and Together Again.
