Janet Jackson has accepted an apology from Jayson Tatum after she was forced to postpone her Atlanta show as the Hawks forced their playoff series to Game 6 on Thursday night.
Jackson was scheduled to play in Atlanta on Thursday night at the State Farm Arena, but when the Hawks narrowly defeated the Celtics 119-117 in Game 5 on Tuesday night, those plans were left in shambles.
She was forced to postpone her showing with the Hawks and the Celtics meeting for Game 6 in the NBA playoffs. The Celtics finally got the job done with a 128-120 victory, but star man Tatum offered a word of apology in his quotes after the game.
“I want to apologize to the legend, Janet Jackson,” he said. “We were closing in Boston and she had to postpone her show.
“I hope she sees this. My apologies for that, but we got the job done today.’

When the Celtics lost to the Hawks on Tuesday, the series went back to Atlanta on Thursday
Jackson responded on Twitter Saturday afternoon, retweeting the clip of Tatum’s interview with a hands clasped emoji and tagging the Celtics star in her post.
Her show has been moved to Saturday night but clashes with Taylor Swift’s show at Mercedes Benz Stadium in downtown Atlanta.
For Tatum and the Celtics, attention now turns to what will be an epic series against the Philadelphia 76ers, who won the Brooklyn Nets.
But the 76ers will almost certainly be without star player Joel Embiid for the first game.
Embiid sprained his knee in Game 3 against the Nets and missed the series reaching game four in Brooklyn.
“There is no last,” 76ers coach Doc Rivers told reporters on Saturday. “Obviously the doctors have been looking at him and he hasn’t done anything today.
“I’ll say this, but if I were a betting man I’d probably say questionable for at least Game 1. But we’ll see. He needs to get better.’
