Janet Jackson almost starred in a very big action movie 24 years ago.

When she stopped by The Drew Barrymore Show on Thursday, the 57-year-old crooner was told her outfit looked very Matrix. Then Drew asked if she almost made that Keanu Reeves movie.

That’s when Michael Jackson’s sister said no and felt like Drew could be confused with X-Men.

Janet further revealed that she was asked to play Storm in the 2000 film X-Men, but said no because she was going on tour.

“I couldn’t because I just started the Janet tour,” said the songbird who wore an all-black outfit with her hair in braids styled into high buns.

The role was then taken over by Halle Berry, who helped make the role iconic.

It was then that Barrymore first said she was offered a role in Boogie Nights with Mark Wahlberg.

“It’s so hard when you think about making a movie and then end up not doing it,” says Drew.

‘I have so many of those experiences. And you still do it, still do it to this day, mine was, I never said this out loud, Boogie Nights.

“There was a point where we were talking about Boogie Nights and I think that was when I started doing Ever After and went in a completely different direction.”

Barrymore did not reveal which role she was offered.

When Ross Matthews asked Janet if she would ever be in a movie again, she replied, “Of course, I definitely would.”

Jackson has appeared in several films, such as Poetic Justice in 1993, Nutty Professor II in 2000 and Why Did I Get Married in 2007.

Also during Drew’s show, Janet said she would be going on tour this summer. She also shared the news on Instagram.

Janet was last seen at the Thom Browne’s catwalk show during New York Fashion Week in February.

She donned a figure-hugging jumpsuit that buttoned up the front, making it look like it was a blazer. Underneath, she added a white button that tied around the collar, as well as a black tie.

While you’re talking to To tempt In 2022, Janet opened up about her evolving style growing up and while also working in the entertainment industry.

β€œI’ve never been a girly girl. I was always a tomboy. So it was always about pants and suits, even in my early teens,” she told the outlet.

β€œI remember my brothers getting their star on the Walk of Fame and other awards they received, and when I look back at the photos, I always wore a suit with a tie, a bow tie or suspenders.”

The star continued, β€œI always loved black and never wanted to expose any part of my body. I felt most comfortable covering it up to here.”

In later years, she began to take more risks, such as posing topless for her 1993 album titled Janet. During that time, she said it was her, “hugging me and trying to learn to love me because of me, my body, all of that.”

β€œI’m trying to get comfortable embracing that. Throwing myself into the lion’s den. Just go for it, want to do something different.’

β€œIt took a lot of work, a lot of work. It was something very heavy, very difficult. But I’m glad I walked through it. I’m really glad I got into it. It was a way to accept and love yourself and your body,” Janet explained.
