Janelle Monae made an impression at the Los Angeles Pride Parade on Sunday when she performed on a float.
The 37-year-old artist – who was promoting her new album in NYC last week – looked sexy in a black bra and matching miniskirt.
The knitted combination had cutouts that exposed the skin and showed off Janelle’s petite figure.
The Kansas City, Kansas native wore her jet black hair in two braided space buns as she brought high energy to the festivities.
She completed her show-stopping look with a pair of white, knee-high cowboy boots.

She drew attention to her doe eyes with sleek black eyeliner and shimmering gold shadow.
Janelle accessorized with a geometric, large, white ring on her middle finger and white square earrings with black trim.
A fan in the crowd captured Monae cheering up the parade-goers with an affirmative speech.
‘We are here! We are strange! We are trans! We are the LGBTQIA+ community and we’re celebrating now!’ she called.
In a 2018 interview with Rolling Stone, Janelle famously came out as pansexual.
“As a queer black woman in America — someone who’s had relationships with both men and women — I consider myself a generous mother,” she said at the time.
She continued in her monologue on Sunday, “We celebrate everything that we come from all different walks of life.
‘We protect each other. We use our privilege to protect those who don’t have one. We use our voice. We use and exercise our right to vote to protect our trans family!’

Janelle has been active on social media as she promotes her first album in five years called The Age of Pleasure.
After Sunday’s performance, she headed to Urban Outfitters in downtown LA to interact with fans at a meet and greet.
She teased the performance with a music video showing her signing copies of her records.
The fiery entertainer wore tiny red shorts with white trim and a white top that read “pleasure” in large black letters.
Janelle captioned the clip, “LA FAM TODAY I’m signing vinyl at Urban Outfitters Downtown Los Angeles at 3pm. see you there! #theageofpleasure.’
