Janelle Colville Fletcher: Music teacher accused of child sex offences

A music teacher and flutist has appeared in court charged with child sex abuse, which allegedly stemmed from behavior that occurred while she was a teacher at a prestigious school.

Janelle Colville Fletcher faced the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Wednesday charged with sexually abusing a child and making a child amenable to sexual activity while she was a teacher at Tabor College.

Fletcher, 38, of Trinity Gardens in Adelaide’s inner west, has not yet entered a plea to the charge.

Her alleged offense involves two victims across the state and occurred several years ago.

Magistrate Simon Smart adjourned her case and split the two charges to be heard separately.

Ms Fletcher will next appear in court on December 14 to face allegations that she sexually abused a child.

A school spokeswoman said the allegations did not involve any students at the school.
