Jana Kramer’s husband won’t ‘allow’ her to do sex scenes even if she landed a role on Yellowstone

Jana Kramer and husband Allan Russell had a candid discussion about her acting career in a new episode of her Whine Down podcast.

During the show, the 41-year-old actress and her boyfriend, 43, chatted about recent sex scenes in Yellowstone, prompting the former football star to share his unfiltered opinion on why he won’t accept his wife being intimate on screen.

“I was like, ‘There’s no part of me that will ever, ever, ever allow a man to get that close to you,'” Allan said of his wife possibly filming raunchy scenes in movies.

Jana, who shares one-year-old son Roman with the retired athlete, asked him if he would change his mind if she were cast in a major series like Yellowstone.

He responded, “I’m going to call the producers and threaten the producers: ‘You have to change that scene. For the good of your health, you have to change this scene.’

‘That’s not good for a marriage, those kinds of roles, certainly not [for] a man who is not in the acting business. It’s hard. So that’s what my opinion is based on [the fact that] I’m not in that world.’

To make his point, the Scottish athlete told his wife: ‘Can you imagine we are both actors in a situation where I have stripped this woman naked and start going down on her. How would you like that, honey?’

The One Tree Hill star weighed in on reenacting physical scenes: “It’s literally the most awkward thing ever.”

She also noted that love scenes are typically filmed with only the actors and sound technicians on set.

‘It’s so uncomfortable for the people doing it. And it’s not sexy,” the veteran artist shared.

The television star explained that she does not like these types of scenes, but understands that they are part of it.

In an Instagram Story video shared on Monday, Allan teased: “Okay, on this week’s podcast Jana and I have a heated discussion about a role…” before Kramer interjected: “A steamy discussion.”

Russell continued, “…A hot and steamy discussion about a hot and steamy role that I could never be happy with.”

He then turned the camera to show his wife affectionately cuddling their son in her arms as he sat in a rocking chair while enjoying a bottle.

Kramer and Russell tied the knot in July and are raising three children together: their son Roman, plus Jana’s eight-year-old daughter Jolie and six-year-old son Jace.

The mother of three shares her two older children with ex-husband Mike Caussin.

In November, she mourned the loss of her former One Tree Hill co-star Paul Teal, who died at the age of 35.

Jana played Paul’s on-screen girlfriend Alex during his time on the show.

“I had the absolute pleasure of working with him on Season 7 of OTH. He was always so kind and so much fun to work with,” she added in her tribute.

The star also called on the One Tree Hill family to support Teal’s loved ones, adding: “Please wrap his family and friends in prayers.”
