Australian boxing coach Jamie Pittman has withdrawn from the Paris Olympics after being accused of a series of sexual misconduct against female fighters.
The former professional boxer is alleged to have committed 11 offenses during three trips with Australian boxing teams between July and October last year and has been issued a notice by the Combat Institute of Australia for abuse, bullying and sexual misconduct.
Australia’s National Sports Tribunal heard shocking evidence against the 42-year-old at a hearing three weeks ago. News Corp reported.
It is alleged that Pittman took a photo of a female fighter from behind as she bent over, then showed it to another team member, claimed to be in love with a boxer more than twenty years his junior, and told a male fighter said: ‘You have to fuck more women to become more of a man.’

Pittman is also accused of saying, “I wish I was that old again… being pushed around in a stroller all day and sucking on suckers” as a woman walked by with a baby, and an athlete had a “lap dance.” gave. while she was using an exercise machine.
Australian fighters have branded his behavior “shocking, abusive and inappropriate”, according to evidence before the hearing.
The Combat Institute called the former professional fighter “childish” and said he made boxers and support staff feel “confused, bewildered and uncomfortable.”

Pittman was ordered to issue a written apology to those affected, undergo counseling and be reprimanded by the tribunal, which called for a six-month suspension.
Faced with the allegations, Pittman told the publication that he will not attend the Paris Games in July to “focus on my role” as Futures coach.

The Queenslander represented Australia at the 2004 Olympic Games and 2002 Commonwealth Games, and won gold as an amateur at the 2003 Commonwealth Boxing Championships.
He amassed a record of 22 wins – eight by knockout – and three defeats as a professional, winning the Australian super middleweight title and losing to Felix Sturm by TKO when fighting for the WBA world middleweight title in 2008.
